The reason for buying the Cortina was that the Triumph Herald my dad purchased via a radio auction (seriously!) was less than deserving of the MOT it had been supplied with! 2017 쉐보레 소닉 RS에서 핸들을 돌릴 때 휘파람 소리 발생. 1개월 전부터 시작됨. 부트 파손 발견 후 볼조인트와 컨트롤 암 양쪽 모두 교체했으나 소음 지속. 저속에서 더 두드러지지만 모든 속도에서 발생. 핸들 조작에는 문제 없음. 노킹음이나 그라인딩음 없음. 소리가 고무가 마찰하는 것 같은 음성. 전기식 파워 스티어링 시스템 적용되어 있음.

얼터네이터 교환

1998 닛산 프론티어, 새 올터네이터 장착. 이전에 터미널 커넥터 단락이 있어서 둘 다 교체함. 그 후 아침에 시동이 잘 안 걸림 - 배터리 전압 부족. 나중에 완전히 시동 안 걸리고 딸깍딸깍 소리만 남 (전자장비는 켜짐). 점프 스타트 후 정상으로 돌아왔으나 주행 중이나 유휴 상태 후에도 전압이 계속 떨어짐. 새 올터네이터, 새 배터리인데 연결 문제일 수 있는지?

새 알터네이터 장착 후 시동은 2회 정상이었으나 현재 전혀 전력 없음. 헤드라이트, 시거 라이터 등 모든 전기 장치 무작동. 엔진 꺼진 상태에서 배터리 12V 측정됨. 엔진 구동 중 전력 확인 불가

1992 Volvo 940의 ABS 모듈에 저장된 고장 코드를 읽으려고 시도했으나 실패함. 700/900 시리즈 FAQ의 절차(진단 리드를 박스 A의 포지션 3에 연결하고 엔진룸의 LED 플래시를 읽음)를 따랐지만 코드가 나타나지 않음. 심지어 정상 상태를 나타내는 1-1-1 코드도 표시되지 않음.

306 비방토 터보 디젤이 시동이 걸리지 않음. 글로우 플러그와 릴레이는 새것으로 교체했으나 시동이 걸리지 않음. 배기 첫 번째 섹션에서 심각한 누유 발생 중이고 터보도 수명이 다 해가는 상태이지만 회전은 잘 되므로 적어도 시동은 걸려야 할 것 같음.

MGA 전자 시스템 개선 중 - 기존 서모스탯식 방향지시등 플래셔(thermal flasher)가 고장났으며, 간단한 RC 회로로 DIY 플래셔를 제작 중. 구형 서모스탯식 플래셔가 왜 오랫동안 계속 사용되었는지에 대한 의문 - 크기가 크고, 고장이 잦으며, 복잡한 기계식 구조로 인해 제조 비용이 더 들 것으로 예상되는데도 불구하고.

연료 게이지가 1/4 남았을 때 시동이 안 걸렸고, 몇 주 후에는 1/2 남았을 때 시동이 안 걸렸다. 이후 주행 중 엔진이 꺼지기 시작했고 현재는 시동이 전혀 안 걸린다. 크랭킹은 되지만 시동이 걸리지 않는다.

1991 GMC 3500 듀얼리 7.4L - 최근 트랜스미션 재빌드 후 6-7개월 정상 작동하다가 문제 발생. 가속 시 40-45 mph에서 중립인 것처럼 가속이 멈춤. RPM은 올라가지만 속도는 증가 안 함. 30 mph까지 감속했다가 다시 가속 시도하면 가속됨. 간헐적 발생. 풀 스로틀 시 대부분 80 mph까지 가속되지만, 60 mph 근처에서도 같은 증상 반복됨.
