Hi, my ford is doing weird things and PCM or ecm is not communicating properly(when i connect to ecm after few seconds i have to reconnect). At random times relay in engine bay relay of glowplugs starts to click for few seconds and stops. This also occurs when i open or close front doors. When i turn igniton on this relays starts to click always and also the valve air intake is opening and closing without a break. Checked the grounds, the ecm was already changed and nothing changed. I think it could be wiring issue but dont know where to start checking. Any suggestions? Thanks

I drive a 2004 Ford Ranger, which I’ve had for the life of the truck. For a few years, I’ve had the CEL on more often than not, usually for codes related to oxygen sensors and cat converter. I’ve taken the truck to a couple of shops and had O2 sensors replaced (repeatedly), but the CEL has come back on within a few days. I’m not at all experienced with auto-work, but I’ve been trying to pick up some new skills (in the interest of not going broke). I have a 07 zap xebra truck. The seal at the rear of the master cylinder has given up and leaks fluid into the cab floor. I removed the maser cylinder and have disassembled. Problem is the there are no parts available for these guys. I’ve measured the rear seal and it is 20mm OD and 13mm ID. It has u shape profile. Where can I find such a seal? Is there a place to cross reference the dimensions of such parts? Thanks

I have a 2009 Pontiac Vibe, It seems to run fine on the highway but is struggling with stop and go traffic. When at stop lights, or trying to accelerate from a stop the engine jolts and cuts off. It is being junked because the engine failed (the cylinder head cracked), and I decided to buy a different vehicle instead of replacing the engine. Does anyone here have experience with Front Steering and Suspension kits for older cars? [1] I’m helping a friend get a 1966 Mustang he inherited back up and running. The body is in nice condition. 2020 Honda Accord. I’m now realizing that the lower ball joints use self locking clinch nuts. Have never heard of clinch nuts before. Anyways the service information says to replace them. This is with regards to the lower three nuts that goes onto the studs, as opposed to castle nut that goes on top under the cv axle. Blowing warm air. Compressor clutch engages when air turned on. I replaced the clutch coil last summer. Low side reading ~39 High side ~45. Low side does react (very little) when RPM is increased, high side does not. Most of my findings lead me to believe that the compressor is bad but I also know that low freon will make my high side low. Car (98 grand-prix se 3.1) only has 49k miles on it and I feel the compressor should still be good (that’s partly my wallet talking as well). Trying to DIAG possible worn out sway bar bushings on a Honda Accord. On this car, the bushings appear to be molded/formed directly to the sway bar, and you are not supposed to attempt to replace just the bushings, and get a brand new sway bar. I would like to confirm that the sound I am hearing is coming from the bushings. Is there any safety issues with temporarily disconnecting the sway bar links, to see if the sound goes away, as long as I drive around turns very slowly? First, I should say that my Fusion has an EPAS (Electronic Power Assist Steering) which means that there is no hydraulic pump but rather an electric motor which provides the assistance to the steering system. In January I had the “Service Power Steering Now” indication on the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) as well and an AdvanTrac (Ford’s traction control system) light. I’m trying to understand why my 2011 civic (8th gen) is generating a p0128 code (coolant temp too low). It’s happened twice, spaced about 7 weeks apart. Neither engine nor cooling system has had recent work, and coolant is at normal level and has not changed level. Both times that the code showed up, the radiator fans were running, and the car had been running for a good while already, so the car seems to have gotten to 210F, which seems to be the trigger temp for the fans. Seems like I need to replace the struts and shocks on my 2013 528i xDrive. The shop quoted me a rather large sum for parts and labor, which led me to wonder if I can do this as a DIY project. I have some questions about it that I’m hoping someone on here can answer: When I search for replacement parts and specify my exact vehicle, I don’t seem to get many or any results, depending on the site. But when I drop the xDrive specification and search for just “2013 528i” struts and shocks I get what appears to be a few decent choices. I was recently given a small trailer that had a past life in northern Illinois and was used in the winter. It is structurally solid but has surface rust over a large part. I was wanting to try and treat this and wanted to see what the best options would be. I have two ideas but others here might have something better. My daughters low mileage RAV4 transmission fluid recently turned black. I check the fluid once a month, went from pink and sweet normal odor to black and no odor. No over heating, no codes, no driveability problems. We took it to a local shop and he is puzzled. The computer is not showing any overheating and the fluid does not smell burned.
