It's fat and looks like a Frog.A truly hateful car that somehow the buying public seem to keep buying in large volumes in the UK.This looks like a lazy effort to broaden the appeal to the hot hatch crowd, whom have mostly now gone elsewhere Pretty much my sentiments. I once had the misfortune of having a puma as a rental for 2 days. Was a truly awful car, I really can't wrap my head around how they sell so well.

Seems like a good time to make a thread on this seeing as I've owned it over 3 weeks and have already managed to put something like 1300 miles on it- despite my justification for buying a 4.0 V8 being that my personal mileage was likely to decrease... After 4 very happy and enjoyable years with an E82 125i Coupe I was starting to properly get the bug to move on to something else. I'd had a great time with that car but had got everything I wanted out of owning it (including a very fun trip over to the Nurburgring), and was struggling to see the value for money in putting any more money into it

I’m sure someone will come along and say they’d happily trade their Porsche Taycan or GT3 for this…But let’s be honest….. no one is buying/leasing/salary exchanging this for £105k

My daughter has just passed her test, first time. Very proud. And in a manual A learner policy on her car was a mere £200/yr, but now she's passed the best quotes are £800 with a black box or £1700 without (which is actually less than I was expecting).Does anyone have experience of how restrictive a black box is? And specifically the Aviva/QuoteMeHappy Connect Black Box?Thanks.

But just looked again and it says will show in your account under my tickets after a purchase . Don t know how they have made something so simple so confusing.Actually it does show under my tickets and I have a ticket number but no email confirmation. I didn't purchase any other tickets.

Over 3 months into M3 ownership now, and I'm pleased to report that it's been a very happy 3 months with the exception of the fuel bill being more horrendous than expected thanks to a certain President's actions in the Middle East. A few weeks ago it went into Redish Motorsport for new fuel injectors and an NRW Inline Fuel Filter. Not a cheap job, but every time I put my foot down the mental image of an injector sticking open and writing off the engine weighed on my mind, and unless my circumstances dramatically change I plan on owning this car for a long while so it seemed worth the money. With the current A4 Avant having served Mrs89 well as a great allrounder... mechanically she's been without fault and has proved her worth. Exterior wise, she has suffered and looks great from 10 feet away but there's a complaint on every panel... the nail in the coffin was a side swipe from an errant deer (it didn't end well for the deer) the time has come to say farewell....Wanting something bigger as her car is the family wagon as we all can't fit in the S5...This arrives Saturday morningit's a 2010, 3.0TDi, so the substantially cheaper tax bracket...needs tyres (ordered a set of Nankangs)o

I've always thought of these as good looking cars and the design doesn't look nigh on 20 years old.My one main (personal) drawback with them is that they are only a 4 seater and with 3 kids and a wife it would limit as to when we could use it.Preference would be for the 2.0T petrol version over this as ULEZ, no DPF etc, but it wears its 167k mileage well.

I've been pretty lucky with my car purchases over the years as most of my 20+ cars have been reliable and not required much outside routine maintenance. My last car, a 2016 Golf TSI Estate was particularly good having been in my ownership for c. 6 years and 100,000 miles and honestly didn't miss a beat. I have only had to give up on 3 cars in that time: a mk4 Golf Gti that had been pretty niggly and then spectacularly failed its first MOT, a WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee that had been pretty unreliable and then its automatic transmission failed and my R56 MINI Cooper, which had some engine issues t

Side impact protection means you sit further inboard behind thicker doors, you need crumple zones front and rear. A 1970s engine wasn't driving all the ancillaries of a modern engine, so you need a bigger engine bay too.You could, of course, strip out a load of stuff. But then people wouldn't buy it in enough numbers, because it would be too basic. Mazda have worked miracles to keep the MX5 as light as it is, but even a GR86 i

In the late 2000s I was at a car show, and one of the stands I visited had a very performance focused car. Not quite a track toy, but definitely not a comfy cruiser. It was enclosed, but it had something more akin to a cockpit than a cabin. The passenger seat was behind, but to the side of the driver's seat. So a sort of staggered tandem arrangement. It was a low volume manufacturer, and they were encouraging people to come and try the car at their HQ (I can't remember which country). A missed opportunity, but there was no way I'd have been able to buy it so I wasn't going to waste their time.I
