With the current A4 Avant having served Mrs89 well as a great allrounder... mechanically she's been without fault and has proved her worth. Recently, i had a discussion with someone about tire width. I claimed, that with bigger (wider) tires, a car would have more traction/grip. The person i was discussing this with, agreed with me, up to a certain point. He said, that if the tires were too wide for the car, the opposite would happen, less traction/grip. He also claimed that the chance of aquaplaning would be higher. My thoughts on that were that that mostly depends on the kind of profile of the tire. It seems to me that if the same tire, on another car (fit for that tire width) would provide good traction/grip without increased a

09 머스탱의 뒷 브레이크를 교체한 후 한쪽 브레이크에서만 연기가 나고 악취가 발생함. 연기는 멈췄으나 악취는 계속 남아있음.

브레이크 패드 교환

가파른 오르막길에서 핸드브레이크를 당기고 발을 브레이크 페달에서 뗄 때 차량 앞부분이 약 1인치 정도 내려가는 현상

1996 보르텍스 엔진에 2행정 해양용 오일 약 0.5갤런을 가득 찬 휘발유 탱크(약 45갤런)에 첨가한 후 시동이 걸리지 않음. 엔진 저장 가능 여부와 시동 방법 확인 필요. 오염된 휘발유 처리 방법과 스파크 플러그 8개 전체 교체 필요 여부 문의.

브레이크 슬라이드 핀이 브래킷에 고착되어 있었음. 세척 후 윤활유를 바르려고 했는데 평소 사용하던 실리콘 페이스트가 떨어져서 튠업에서 남은 유전체 그리스(다이엘렉트릭 그리스)를 대신 사용함. 실리콘과 유전체 그리스를 호환해서 사용할 수 있는지 궁금함 (스파크 플러그에 실리콘 그리스, 슬라이드 핀에 유전체 그리스 등).

터보 키트 장착 등 엔진 성능 개선 작업 시 스파크 플러그 열 범위(heat range) 선택에 대한 이해 필요. 핫 플러그와 콜드 플러그의 차이점과 특성에 대한 질문.

상단 부시가 손상된 것으로 보임. 2년 미만 사용했으나 마모된 타이로드 엔드를 오래 사용했던 것으로 인해 서스펜션 다른 부품들도 손상되었을 것으로 예상됨. 다른 부시들의 상태 확인 방법이 필요함.

I've always thought of these as good looking cars and the design doesn't look nigh on 20 years old.My one main (personal) drawback with them is that they are only a 4 seater and with 3 kids and a wife it would limit as to when we could use it.Preference would be for the 2.0T petrol version over this as ULEZ, no DPF etc, but it wears its 167k mileage well.

2014 스바루 포레스터 후방이 심하게 처져 있음. 좌측 후방 코일 스프링이 파손된 것으로 보임. 스프링의 끝부분(빨간 화살표)이 노란 화살표 링으로 고정되어야 하는데 제대로 고정되지 않은 것으로 보임.

브레이크 디스크 교환

포드 F250 4x4 브레이크 페달이 시동을 걸면 바닥까지 내려가고 엔진을 끌 때까지 그 상태로 유지되다가 시동을 끄면 원위치로 돌아옴. 브레이크 부스터, 마스터 실린더, 로터, 패드, 브레이크 라인, 드럼, 브레이크 슈, 브레이크 휠 실린더 모두 교체했음에도 증상 지속

독립적인 자동차 수리점에서 의견이 갈린다. 같은 액슬의 두 로터 중 하나는 최소 두께 이하이고, 다른 하나는 가공 가능한 상태일 때: 기술자 A는 최소 두께 이하인 로터만 교체하고 다른 로터는 규격 내에서 재가공할 것을 주장하고, 기술자 B는 시스템 성능 균형을 위해 두 로터를 모두 교체해야 한다고 주장한다.

2005 혼다 어코드, 오랫동안 방치 후 새 배터리 장착. 전기는 정상 작동(라디오, 헤드라이트, 실내등 모두 작동)하지만 시동 시 클릭음 1-2회만 발생하고 엔진이 시동되지 않음.

The cost of OEM parts for some cars are just completely crazy, compared to the cost of non OEM, third party parts for the same cars. That said, the quality of the cars must be at least somewhat equitable to the price offered for them. I just can't fathom how third party brake parts can be so cheap -- feels like there's a lot of risk in purchasing them. In any case, especially for a system so important for the car, and for the wellbeing of passengers in the car, am I better off with OEM or non OEM?
