증상
2003 포드 에스케이프 V6에서 오일 경고등이 점등됨 (주로 브레이크 밟을 때). 가속하거나 주행 중일 때는 경고등이 꺼짐. 때때로 주행 중 경고등이 점등된 상태로 유지됨. 오일 레벨은 항상 최소~최대 사이에 위치.
처리 내용
오일 경고등은 엔진 오일팬 내 침전물이 오일 펌프 흡입 스크린과 튜브를 막아서 발생함. 모터 오일과 필터 교환으로 해결 가능. 가스 페달을 밟으면 경고등이 쉽게 꺼지는 것으로 보아 심각한 문제는 아님. 개선되지 않으면 다음 절차 시행: 모터 오일 16 oz를 Marvel Mystery Oil(MMO)로 대체 (과채우지 않음) → 200마일 후 오일&필터 교환 → 32 oz를 MMO로 대체하고 500마일 주행 → 이후 1,000마일마다 오일&필터 교환하면서 MMO 계속 사용 (총 3,000마일까지). 엔진 온도가 높을 때 효과적이므로 고속도로에서 최대한 주행하거나 L1 기어로 35 MPH 속도 유지 권장. Mobil 1 모터 오일 사용 시 더 효과적이나 가격이 높음.

2010 Ford Escape에서 AC 작동 시 드라이브 상태에서 심한 불규칙한 아이들링 진동 발생. 파크나 뉴트럴 상태에서는 매우 부드러움. 신호 대기 중 진동이 심함. 주행 중에는 진동을 거의 느끼지 못함. 주행거리 약 90,000마일, AC 자체는 정상 작동.

I did more track days in my E60 than all my other cars in the past combined I would hazard a guess at. So many fond memories. My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.
