My other half's car for the last 5 years has been a Mercedes ML350cdi. To it's credit it's was one of the most comfortable cars we've owned. Incredibly practical for a family of five but it was becoming costly. Last year we spent £1k on incidental repairs not including servicing etc. This year the A/C pump packed up but it also developed a timing chain rattle on cold. Frustrating as it only had 104k on it, full service history too but a timing chain replacement was an engine out job, £4k+ and even a local specialist wouldn't do the job. Looks pretty good. I can't see many people tracking these though.I suspect we will soon see heavy discounts. I like EV's but low range is still an issue for me. forgot track driving, the motorway range of this car in the winter will be 130 ish miles. I do regular trips across the north of Scotland and just couldn't be bothered with the planning / wait at charging stations.

Whilst scrolling through Facebook market place (please don't judge me!) I discovered this Riley 1.5, a car I know very little about and thought it had a charm about it that I liked. I kept scrolling but would see it popping up for about a week and a half.About a week into the occasional glance and some wishful thinking about the sort of car I would turn it into I showed Mrs. Jim. I suppose this is something I've taught myself as time's gone by : Wheel rotation.For example, when driving and there is a side road on either the left or right. If a vehicle is on the side road looking to join the carriageway I'm on, and they are stationary then I'm watching the wheels for rotation. If they start to rotate, then I'm on the brakes. If a vehicle is on the side road and is moving, then I'm looking for a decreasing rate of rotation of the wheels to indicate a slowing down. Many moons ago I owned a 156 SW V6 that I bought by accident but really should not have sold. 156 V6 It was a car that absolutely adored the noise and looks but that I never really trusted for main family car duties. It also seemed to be a magnet for other people to drive into. It was replaced by a surprisingly brilliant Octavia VRS which lacked the drama of the 156 but has been absolutely faultless for 6 years, massive inside, still relatively rapid and actually pretty good to look at too to my eye. Been using an X1 all week, my eldests daily as he borrowed my Jaguar XJ for a trip up to Scotland.Didnt really relish the prospect as always thought it a bit of a boring lump but after a few days with it, I have to say I gelled with it.2.0 diesel Xdrive, goes ok but what impressed me was the ride and handling, was thinking would be a bit roly poly but I threw it about a bit and its amazingly competent and even, dare I say it, quite good fun. 2013 Ford Fusion 1.6 EcoBoost 직분사 엔진 - 시동 불가 상태. 스파크 플러그는 정상, 캠-크랭크 동기화 정상. 연료 공급 확인됨. 모든 실린더 압축 180psi 정상. MAP, IAT, ECT, RPM 등 라이브 데이터 모두 정상범위. 엔진이 회전하지만 시동이 걸리지 않음.
