My daughter has just passed her test, first time. Very proud. And in a manual A learner policy on her car was a mere £200/yr, but now she's passed the best quotes are £800 with a black box or £1700 without (which is actually less than I was expecting).Does anyone have experience of how restrictive a black box is? In the late 2000s I was at a car show, and one of the stands I visited had a very performance focused car. Not quite a track toy, but definitely not a comfy cruiser.It was enclosed, but it had something more akin to a cockpit than a cabin. The passenger seat was behind, but to the side of the driver's seat. So a sort of staggered tandem arrangement. The 2013 Honda Accord has both 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder cars, however, only the 4 cylinder cars have a continuously variable transmission (CVT). I was wondering... is there any particular reason for this?

Seems like a good time to make a thread on this seeing as I've owned it over 3 weeks and have already managed to put something like 1300 miles on it- despite my justification for buying a 4.0 V8 being that my personal mileage was likely to decrease... After 4 very happy and enjoyable years with an E82 125i Coupe I was starting to properly get the bug to move on to something else. I'd had a great time with that car but had got everything I wanted out of owning it (including a very fun trip over to the Nurburgring), and was struggling to see the value for money in putting any more money into it

볼보 2.0 디젤 Siemens VDO - 엔진이 데워진 후 4~6단에서 1800~2200rpm 범위에서 차량이 진동함. 경고등 없음. 진단 결과 연료 압력이 지속적으로 오르내림. 안정적인 주행 시에만 발생하며, 가속하거나 엑셀을 놓으면 증상 사라짐. 1~3단에서는 진동 없음. 인젝터 점검(정상), 연료 압력 레귤레이터 교체 후에도 증상 지속. 연료 라인 에어, DPF 재생 문제 의심.

메르세데스 비토 638 108 CDI, 2.2L, 1999년식, 주행거리 270,000km. 가속페달을 밟을 때 냉각수에서 작은 기포가 발생하며, 주행 중 냉각수 레벨이 감소하여 수시로 보충이 필요함. 주행 후 오일 레벨이 불규칙하게 증가함 (최저 근처에서 최고 근처로 변함). 헤드 개스킷 교체 필요 여부 확인 필요. 헤드 크랙이나 엔진 블록 손상 등으로 인한 추가 문제 발생 여부 확인 필요.

발전기가 넘어져서 연소실과 캬뷰레터에 오일이 들어갔음. 밸브를 통해 오일이 유입된 것으로 추정됨.

상단 부시가 손상된 것으로 보임. 2년 미만 사용했으나 마모된 타이로드 엔드를 오래 사용했던 것으로 인해 서스펜션 다른 부품들도 손상되었을 것으로 예상됨. 다른 부시들의 상태 확인 방법이 필요함.

2008 현대 쏘나타에서 환기를 외부 공기(외기)로 설정하면 신맛 나는 냄새가 난다. 내부 공기(내기)로 즉시 전환하여 냄새를 피하고 있다.

타이어 교환

1998년식 5.4 V8 포드 밴(후륜구동)의 전륜 조향이 부드럽지 않음. 조향 시 삐걱거리고 딸깍거리는 소음 발생. 조향휠에서 이상한 움직임 감지. 타이어 측면이 빠르게 마모됨. 새로운 휠 베어링과 타이어가 장착되어 있지만 문제 지속.

MOT 시험 2개월 앞두고 있음. 좌측 전륜 타이어가 약간 공기가 빠진 것으로 보임. 수리점에서 압력 게이지 측정 결과는 정상이라고 함. MOT 시험 중 타이어 공기 재충전 같은 경미한 수리를 해주는지 궁금함.

캘리퍼와 마운팅 브래킷 교체 중 휠 허브 어셈블리의 브래킷 고정 볼트홀에 탭을 통과시켰을 때 이상한 느낌 발생. 탭이 구멍 깊이의 약 절반을 지나면서 나사산이 없는 것으로 보임. 볼트홀이 느슨해 보이고 구멍의 후반부에 나사산이 없거나 부식으로 인한 자국만 있는 것 같음.

배터리 교환

혼다 BF6 선외 모터가 여름마다 시작하기 어려움. 동절기 보관 전 연료를 배출하지만 여름 첫 시작 시 점화 곤란. 커버를 열고 스타터를 당길 수 있으며 샤프트에 17mm 너트가 있음. 전동 드릴로 시작하면 잘 작동하지만 높은 토크의 핸드헬드 배터리 드릴/드라이버가 필요함. 고토크 제품들은 모두 임팩트 드라이버인데 이것이 모터에 손상을 줄 수 있는지 궁금함.

쇼크업소버 교환

2014 스바루 포레스터 후방이 심하게 처져 있음. 좌측 후방 코일 스프링이 파손된 것으로 보임. 스프링의 끝부분(빨간 화살표)이 노란 화살표 링으로 고정되어야 하는데 제대로 고정되지 않은 것으로 보임.
