증상

MOT 시험 2개월 앞두고 있음. 좌측 전륜 타이어가 약간 공기가 빠진 것으로 보임. 수리점에서 압력 게이지 측정 결과는 정상이라고 함. MOT 시험 중 타이어 공기 재충전 같은 경미한 수리를 해주는지 궁금함.

처리 내용

MOT 시험은 특정 항목만 검사함 - 타이어 압력은 검사 대상이 아니지만 타이어 상태와 트레드 깊이는 검사함. 일부 MOT 스테이션(주로 소규모)은 검사 중 경미한 수리를 해주기도 하지만, 대규모 업소는 나중에 추가 요금을 청구하기 위해 수리하지 않음. 중요한 것은 법적으로 당신이 차량을 주행 가능한 상태로 유지할 책임이 있다는 것 - MOT를 기다리지 말고 지금 당장 타이어 공기를 재충전해야 함. 공기가 부족한 타이어는 정상 압력 타이어보다 빨리 마모되고 연비도 악화되므로, 지금 수리하면 비용 절감 효과가 있음.
