Without knowing the price per litre, this (surely) has to be a positive development?The UK (and European) Governments need to have a sliding methodology towards phasing our fossil fuels entirely. This seems, on the face of it, a means to do just that, that will (should) also gain support from petrolheads.

I'd totally underestimated the amount of effort that goes into prom transport There were quite a few interesting cars - quite a few 911s, couple of Ferraris (458 and 360), Rolls Royce Wraith, VW notchback that somehow wasn't overheating in the ridiculous heat and standstill traffic, and a surprising number of Mustangs (both classic and more recent). 엔진오일 교환

2009 JDM 스바루에 후측 안개등이 없음. MOT를 통과했으나 규정상 후측 안개등이 장착되어야 함.

후미 추돌 사고 후 배기관이 앞으로 밀려 촉매변환기(Catalytic converter) 용접부에 금이 생김. 금은 완전히 관통하지 않음. 1,000마일 이상 주행했으나 CEL(Check Engine Light) 미발생. Mercedes W211 E-Class 모델.

새로운 Uniroyal Tiger Paw 타이어 장착 후 시속 60mph 부근에서 바운싱과 스티어링휠 진동 발생. 재밸런싱 후에도 시속 65mph 이상에서 진동이 계속 발생하며, 시속 80mph 이상에서는 심각해져 안전하지 않은 상태. 밸런스 불균형이 크지 않았음(.25, .5oz 수준).

2001 혼다 시빅의 머플러가 2년마다 교체 필요. 유니온 직후 인렛 파이프에서 부식 발생. 대부분의 배기 시스템 부품이 스테인리스강인데 이렇게 빨리 부식되는 이유는 무엇인가?

유럽식 코치 버스('99 Neoplan) 충전 시스템 고장 진단. 12V 배터리 2개를 직렬 연결하고 알터네이터 2개 장착. 엔진 구동 중 양 극점에서 약 21V 측정 (정상: 약 28.8V). 배터리를 분리하여 개별 측정 결과 11.8V와 10.5V로 전압 차이 발생. 알터네이터, 배터리, 또는 스타터 모터 등 다른 곳의 단락 의심.

1967 카마로 SS 350 파워글라이드 트랜스미션. 간헐적 시동 불량 - 약 15~20회 중 1회 정도 시동이 걸리지 않음. 클릭음 없음, 키 회전 시 실내등 어두워짐 없음, 아무 반응 없음. 차를 밀어서 차고에 넣거나 나중에 다시 시도하면 항상 시동됨. 엔진 온냉 상태 관계없이 발생. 신품 스타터 및 솔레노이드, 신품 배터리 교체, 중립 안전 스위치 우회(컬럼 시프트) 후에도 동일한 증상 지속. 엔진-바디 접지선 양호.

쇼크업소버 교환

BMW 320d 2006 운전석 앞 현가 스프링이 하단에서 파손되어 차량이 한쪽으로 내려앉았음. 타이어가 펜더 내부에 닿아서 마찰이 발생하고 있으며, 차량은 움직이지만 1~2km 정도 이동해야 함.

1995 Honda Accord, 170,000마일 이상. 정기적으로 3,000마일마다 오일 교환 중. 매 오일 교환 시 오일 레벨이 낮음. 정비사가 타이밍 밸브(timing valve)에서 누유 발견. 수리 시 8-10시간 소요 예상.

냉각수 교환

2012 볼보 C30 T5에서 에어컨을 켜면 15-30초 동안 냉각수 냄새가 실내에서 난다. 블로어만 켜면 냄새가 나지 않음. 과열이나 냉각수 부족, A/C 냉각력 저하는 없음. 최근 냉각수 탱크가 폭발적으로 고장나서 엔진룸 전체에 냉각수가 흩어졌었음.

2002년식 BMW E39, 브레이킹 시 앞쪽에서 노킹음 발생 - 차 내부보다 외부에서 더 큼. 브레이크 더스트 실드 손상이 원인인지 의문.

스즈키 지미니(JB23W) 백미러가 떨어짐. 조사 결과 고정 부품이 플라스틱 재질이라 경년 열화로 균열 발생. 공정1: 백미러가 갑자기 떨어짐. 고정 부품 파손 확인. 20mm 워셔로 대체 시도. 공정2: 초기에는 고무 워셔로 시도했으나 진동으로 인해 흔들림 발생. 금속 워셔로 변경하여 현재 단단히 고정됨.
