2008 크라이슬러 세브링 컨버터블의 브레이크 패드와 앞 로터 교체 후 지속적인 짹짹거리는 음성 발생. 브레이크 적용 시 더 큰 짹짹거림. 사우스 플로리다 해안 인근 지역에 위치하며 연간 주행거리 3,000마일 미만. 로터 표면의 얇은 녹이 원인으로 의심되나 주행 후에도 음성이 계속 발생함.

I’m amazed Paul Rees has decided to bring the action! He apparently had no injuries, either visible, or reported at the time. Right then... It's all been a bit shuffle and move these last couple of weeks. As some may have seen in my other threads my SL500 went to a new home which freed up some cash to go in the Caterham fund. Ever since selling my old 310R I've bitterly regretted doing so. It's come down 3ppl in the last week at my local supermarket. I suspect "Lack of competition" is probably the root cause however.

2010 Honda Accord LX를 디트로이트(-10°C 환경)에서 소유 중입니다. 시동 직후 항상 1500rpm 범위에서 시작되고, 1분 정도 후 1200rpm으로 떨어집니다. 이렇게 rpm이 떨어질 때까지 기다린 후 운전을 시작해야 하는지, 아니면 가솔린을 낭비하는 것인지 궁금합니다. 필요하다면 언제 운전을 시작해도 되는지 어떻게 알 수 있나요?

마즈다 미아타를 전기차로 개조하려고 함. 엔진과 기어박스를 제거하고 직구동 방식으로 변경할 계획. 사용할 모터가 표준 미아타 모터 대비 토크가 2배인데, 이렇게 높은 토크가 차량에 손상을 입힐 수 있는지 확인 필요. 개조 전에 고려해야 할 다른 문제점과 이를 방지하는 방법이 있는지 궁금함.

2002 Toyota Camry 배기관이 절단됨. 수리 방법: 강철캔을 두 절단부 사이에 끼우고, 스테인리스 호스클램프 2개로 배관을 함께 밀어붙인 후, Thermosteel 2400F Coldweld를 적용하여 경화함. 안전성 우려: 일산화탄소가 실내로 유입될 가능성이 있는지 확인 필요.

정기점검

1999 Mercury Grand Marquis LS, 4.6L V8, 220,000마일. 처음에 점검 엔진 경고등이 켜졌고 P0174 코드(뱅크2 과희박) 발생. 에어컨 고장, 연료필터 교체, 튠업을 모두 수행했으나 경고등이 약 2시간 주행 후 다시 점등. 재진단 결과 MAP센서 불량으로 진단됨.

2002 현대 싼타페에서 아내의 열쇠가 시동을 걸지 않음. 열쇠는 정상적으로 회전하고 모든 전기 부품은 작동하지만 스타터가 작동하지 않음. 본인의 열쇠(순정)는 정상 작동. 아내의 열쇠와 같은 복사본인 여분의 열쇠도 동일한 증상. 배터리, 스타터, 솔레노이드, 퓨즈 모두 점검 완료. 아내의 열쇠는 5년 이상 매일 사용했으나 어제까지 문제없었음.

지난해 에어컨 시스템을 분해하고 플러시했으며, 새 컴프레서, 오리피스 튜브, 어큐뮬레이터를 교체했습니다. 진공이 유지되지 않고 매우 느린 누수가 있었습니다. 스니퍼나 UV 염료로 누수를 찾을 수 없었습니다. 에어컨을 재충전했을 때 냉방이 잘 작동했고 정비소에서 진공을 빼고 재충전했지만 누수를 찾지 못했습니다. 여름 내내 에어컨이 잘 작동했습니다. 겨울에 보관했습니다. 이번 봄에 냉방이 안 됩니다. 기존 어큐뮬레이터를 사용하여 에어컨을 재충전하고 UV 염료가 새도록 하기 위해 운전해야 하나요 - 얼마나 오래 걸리나요? 기존 어큐뮬레이터로 시스템을 운전하면 해롭지 않을까요? 컴프레서를 망치고 싶지 않습니다. DIY로 비용을 절약하려고 시도 중입니다.

1997 혼다 어코드에 잘못된 파워스티어링 플루이드를 사용함. 랙 앤 피니언 씰이 심하게 손상되어 플루이드가 완전히 새는 상태.

변속기 오일 교환

VW Golf 6 (2009) 1.4 TSI 122HP (CAXA 엔진) 기어박스 교체 필요. 기어박스 코드 LHY를 중고품 MCB 코드로 교체 가능 여부 확인. 동일한 엔진코드지만 기어박스 코드 다름.

실린더 누수 테스트와 압축 테스트의 차이점 이해: 두 테스트 모두 실린더 헤드 균열, 워핑, 가스켓 누수를 진단하는 데 사용되지만, 압축 테스트는 엔진 압축을 이용하고 누수 테스트는 외부 공기 공급을 사용합니다. 각 테스트의 결과와 진단 내용이 다르고, 상황에 따라 어느 것이 더 적절한지 궁금합니다.

2004 VW R32 (Haldex AWD 시스템)에서 손상된 서머 타이어 1개. 모든 타이어의 트레드 깊이가 최소 절반 이상 남아있음. 앞바퀴에만 타이어 2개를 교체하려고 함 ($200/개). 타이어 판매점에서 AWD 차량의 경우 액슬 간 트레드 차이가 2-3/32"를 초과하면 센터 디퍼렌셜 손상 위험이 있다고 안내받음. VW 고객 지원에서는 명확한 답변 없음.

Can’t think of a better looking car with 4 usable seats. Hopefully the exhaust note is improved and they offer some good deals to actually sell some more this time.
