Saw this posted by wjs1968 on the ‘cool classic car spotters thread’.It got me thinking…In theory, could you remove a plate like this onto another car?…and if so, what style of replacement reg would the car get?
timrud said: You would get another dateless plate, there is a bank of them with DVLA for this purpose, which would then be non-transferable You'd have to get it to pass an MoT test too. It's a requirement from a donor car, probably to prevent just a V5c and / or a box of parts being the source. A neighbour had one of these and I used to love hearing him start it up in the morning (he also had a V Twin Buell which was even noisier). Top bloke.
