1985 Mk1 Golf Cabriolet 1.6 카브레터 오토 모델의 연료 탱크에 심한 녹이 발생. 원인은 연료 필러 넥 부식으로 인한 장기간의 도로 분사물, 진흙, 녹 입자 축적. 현재 연료 라인이 분리된 상태이며 탱크 바닥에 건조한 녹 플레이크와 이물질이 존재.

승객 측 휠 부근에서 우는듯한/신음 소리가 발생. 주차장 진입 시 저속 주행할 때만 들림. 작은 경사로 오르내릴 때 또는 백업할 때 발생. 소리가 일정하지 않으며 차의 무게 이동이나 방향 변경 시 사라짐. 최근 4개 타이어 모두 교체함.

2004 WRX 왜건, Prodrive 서스펜션 팁 애프터마켓 머플러 장착. 최근 3200rpm 감속 시 특정 회전대에서 울음 소리(howl) 발생. 정상 회전 유지 시에도 음향 변화 감지. 수년간 같은 머플러를 사용해왔는데 최근 배기음이 변했음.

2002 GMC Yukon 1500XL 우측 후면 브레이크 캘리퍼 부트 파손으로 인한 패드 조기 마모. 우측 후면 캘리퍼, 로터, 패드 교체 완료. 좌측 후면은 캘리퍼 정상, 로터 두께 충분, 내측/외측 패드 라이닝 9/32" 상태로 우측만 교체한 이유 불명확.

저속(시속 20-40km)으로 주행 중 사이드 브레이크(핸드브레이크)를 풀지 않은 상태로 주행했음을 집에 도착 후 발견함

브레이크 패드 교체 후 브레이크 유체 탱크의 액면이 올라오는 것이 정상인가? 예를 들어, 낡은 패드의 두께가 새 패드보다 1/4" 정도 닳았고, 각 패드의 표면적이 약 3제곱인치라면, 탱크의 유체량이 4개 패드 × 3제곱인치 × 1/4" = 3세제곱인치만큼 증가해야 하는가?

2007 아우디 TT 2.0 TFSI 장시간 방치로 디스크 녹슬음. 온라인에서 주문한 새 디스크가 도착했는데 기존 디스크(벤틸레이션형)와 직경은 같지만 두께가 얇음. 새 디스크는 솔리드형으로 벤틸레이션형보다 상당히 얇음. 더 얇은 디스크 장착 가능 여부 확인 필요.

차고 공간 제약으로 인해 브레이크 로터와 패드를 한 번에 모든 바퀴에 교체할 수 없음. 한쪽(우측) 앞뒤 바퀴를 먼저 교체한 후 차를 뒤로 빼서 반대쪽(좌측)을 작업하는 것이 안전한지 확인 필요.

새 헤더 설치 후 캣컨버터 쪽과 엔진블록 쪽 모두에서 볼트가 끝까지 들어가지 않음. 볼트를 빼낼 때는 쉽게 나왔으나 다시 조일 때 저항이 생김. 과도한 힘을 사용하면 볼트가 끊어질 우려됨.

VW Passat B5의 타이어 측벽에 44 PSI(스페어는 51 PSI)로 표기되어 있음. 이것이 너무 높다고 생각되어 주유소의 공기 주입기로 35-38 PSI로 채움. 다른 사람들은 28-30 PSI가 적절하다고 함. 정확한 타이어 공기압 기준에 대한 확실한 답변 필요.

타이어 육안 검사로 어떤 정보를 얻을 수 있는가? 타이어 외측 가장자리의 과도한 마모, 내측 마모, 중앙부 마모를 어떻게 해석하는가? 한쪽 또는 한 차축의 타이어 마모가 다른 경우는 어떻게 해석하는가?

가속 시 실화 발생, 엔진 컴퓨터에서 2번과 3번 실린더에서 심한 실화 기록. 엔진이 실제로 실화하지 않아도 컴퓨터가 기록. 가속 시에만 시작되고 공회전에서는 발생하지 않음. 실화 감지 후 곧 뚜렷한 실화 발생 (컴퓨터 의심...)
