증상
신호등에서 멈춰있을 때 자동변속기를 P(주차)로 넣어도 엔진, 브레이크, 변속기 등에 해로운 영향이 있을까요? 주차 브레이크는 사용하지 않습니다. 2016년식 도요타 코롤라 자동변속기 차량입니다. 배경: 출퇴근 거리가 늘어나면서 오른쪽 무릎에 통증이 생겼습니다. 신호등이 많은 구간에서 신호 대기 중 변속기를 P로 넣으면서 오른쪽 무릎 스트레스가 줄어들어 통증이 완화되었습니다.
처리 내용
신호등에서 P로 변속해도 큰 해로움은 없을 것 같습니다. 무릎 통증 완화에 도움이 된다면 좋은 방법으로 보입니다. 다만 한 가지 주의할 점은 매번 신호등마다 완전히 정지 → P로 변속 → 신호 시작 시 전진기어로 변속해야 한다는 점입니다. 신호가 바뀔 때 급하게 출발하려는 다른 운전자들의 압박감 속에서 변속 실수가 발생할 수 있다는 우려가 있습니다. 왼발을 사용해서 신호등 대기 중 브레이크를 밟는 방법도 고려해보세요. 이 방법으로 오른쪽 다리의 부담을 완전히 없앨 수 있습니다.

I saw a Toyota at my local supermarket (name omitted to avoid PH ridicule) registered in Victoria, Australia. I’m guessing it was a personal import rather than an extremely long road trip! Has anyone else seen cars registered in far-flung countries?

My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.

I think it is a shame to lose one of the distinctive features of the 944 (the wrap around rear screen).Proportions from rear three-quarters are also a bit too Scimitar for my taste but each to their own.
