I know this is a pointless rant but I am beginning to feel as though I am the only sane person to drive on the roads in Oxfordshire and wanted to see if I was alone in this observation.In the good old days (I'm 39) most people would drive at a sensible speed. Every now and again you would meet a little old lady driving at 40mph but in general that was the exception rather than the norm. Fast forward to today and the norm is for me to be stuck behind people (of all ages, sex, race, and weight... before anybody tries to go there) doing 30mph in a well sighted 50 or 60. Just after I got my EV, I had to drive my son’s diesel xtrail. The EV feels like a spaceship compared to a tractor that is the xtrail. No way would I ever want to go near a diesel again even if I could get 500 miles on a tank of fuel.

Its nice but not 25k nice and quite dull looking on them wheels. If you really wanted to keep it on steels go for the bigger version. I had a white MK2 8v 5 soor big bumper on a H back in the day and then I bought a G 8v big bumper 3 door later on but it had the 8v ripped out and a 1.9TDI fitted circa 170bhp, that was fun. This was my 1.9TDI, it was royal blueStupidly one day let a mate try and solder a new glow plug harness into it, which fried the ECU. I ended up selling it to a MK2 Golf spares place basically as he wanted the Porsche door handles and glovebox lock, the engine was taken out

Hello everyone.I keep seeing ad's on TV about compensation for anyone who owned or leased a diesel engined car between 2007 and 2021. I'm guessing this is something similar to PPI?My question is, has anyone had any experience of these claims and if so, what? Have you been successful? Any recommendations about how to go about claiming? Any other advice/comments?

I was talking to a friend who holds an HGV licence but only to move his horses about. Has owned nice cars.He was asking about my motorbike and he said “are you one of those annoying riders who overtake in traffic jams” I asked if he meant filtering, he said yes and then said “I always try to block them”. I asked why he did that as he couldn’t go where I go and it is totally legal. He didn’t even have a reply.

냉각수 교환

2008 Subaru Outback 주행 중에만 과열 발생. 써모스탯 교체, 라디에이터 및 모든 호스 교체, 라디에이터 캡 교체 후에도 계속 과열됨. 블록 테스터 음성(헤드 개스킷 정상). 주행 시 과열되면 히터가 찬바람으로 변함. 공회전 상태에서 엔진 고회전 시 온도 게이지는 내려가고 난방 복구됨.

2년 전에 냉각수 보조탱크에 심한 균열이 있어서 냉각수가 새었고 교체했는데, 2년 만에 다시 균열이 생겼다. 이전처럼 심하지는 않고 아직 새지는 않지만, 균열이 냉각수 수위보다 위에 있어서 에어압이 빠질 수 있을 것 같다. 냉각 시스템의 압력이 정말 중요한지, 무시하면 엔진이 과열될 수 있는지 궁금하다.

냉각수가 매일 소비되고 있음. 자동차에서 새는 곳이 보이지 않으며 엔진은 정상 작동함.

에어필터 교환

2001 Toyota Corolla에서 에어컨 시스템을 켤 때 심한 악취가 난다. 온라인 조사에 따르면 2001년형에는 캐빈 에어필터가 없다. 글로브박스를 제거할 수 없어 뒤쪽을 확인할 수 없다.

2002 GMC Envoy의 라디에이터와 보조 물통에서 오일이 발견됨. 엔진 오일량은 정상이고 물이나 부동액이 섞여있지 않음. 정기적인 오일 교환 중이며 오일 압력은 정상. 냉각수 온도는 거의 정상이고 과열되지 않음. 6번 기통 관련 내용(문장 미완성).

I saw one of those Toyota WiLL things the other day. I was driving, so luckily I was unable to take a photo. It was the first time I’ve seen one in the UK; hopefully it will be the last.

Lots of people have joined solicitors firms to chase compo from manu for emission cheating. Some had cutoff some still open. No idea how much if any compo, or when likely, but very very unlikely to be anywhere near 9k.

2001 Ford F-150에서 연료 주입 시 휘발유 냄새가 강하고 연료탱크 하단에서 기름진 액체(휘발유로 추정)가 떨어짐. 소량(약 몇 온스) 유출되었으며, 차량 정차 중에는 누유 증거 없음. 연료 필러 넥(filler neck) 또는 탱크에 연결된 고무 호스의 누유로 추정되며, 탱크 또는 연료 라인 누유는 아닌 것으로 보임.

엔진오일 교환

B30 이상의 바이오디젤 사용 시 엔진오일의 윤활성 및 점도 감소로 인한 엔진 마모 증가 우려. 일부 제조사(예: 푸조)가 DPF를 이유로 B30 이상 지원 불가 공시. DPF 장착 차량에서 바이오디젤 사용으로 인한 실제 문제 발생 여부 확인 필요.

가속할 때 2000-4000 RPM에서 엔진을 많이 돌리면 에어컨에서 탄 기름 냄새가 남. 오일 필러 캡이나 딥스틱을 열었을 때와 비슷한 냄새. 오일 누유 점검 결과: CMP 센서 - O-ring 없음 (교체함), 밸브 커버 - 깨끗이 닦고 볼트 약간 조임, 건조 상태, 오일 필러 캡 근처 - 충분히 조이지 않은 것 같아 닦고 조임. 그러나 탄 기름 냄새가 계속 남음.

2019 현대 코나 50,000마일에서 밸볼린 빠른 오일 교환 후 5주 1,800마일 주행 중 오일 경고등 점등. 디프스틱에서 오일 없음 확인. 딜러십 견인 후 오일 추가 시 지면으로 유출. 리프트에서 오일 드레인 플러그가 드레인 팬에 떨어져 있고 차량에 오일 없음 발견. 오일 플러그가 제대로 조여지지 않아 시간에 따라 진동으로 풀림. 재충전 후 엔진 작동. 2주 200마일 후 엔진에서 두드리는 소음 발생. 딜러십으로 견인됨.
