증상
엔진과 변속기는 정상 작동. 신호등에서 오일 게이지 급강하. 3쿼트 추가. 40마일 후 배기 시스템에서 오일과 냉각수 혼합물의 연기 발생. 리저버 캡을 넘어 심하게 누출되는 상태. 40마일에 3쿼트 모두 소비됨. 엔진은 계속 정상 작동. 트레일러 탑승을 위해 추가 오일 보충.
처리 내용
오일 쿨러 문제로 보임. LT1 엔진의 오일 쿨러는 오일 필터 하우징에서 냉각수를 순환시켜 오일을 냉각하는 방식 작동(오일 필터 입출구 지점에서 열 교환 발생). 하우징이 균열이나 손상이 있으면 오일 압력(보통 냉각수 압력의 2배 이상)이 냉각수 시스템으로 오일을 펌프질하게 됨. 이것이 원인이면 엔진이 계속 정상 작동하는 이유가 설명됨.

I bought one of these 3 years ago for £21k it had 19k miles on it and all factory options ticked aside from heated steering wheel and colour changing interior lights.For the money I could have bought a semi ropey 90k+ miles German saloon of similar spec and power and would have spend money fixing the higher mileage problems that they would have come with.As it stands, coming up to 37k miles I've paid for new tyres, brakes and a coolant bottle because it had a hairline crack the MOT history is and always has been a clear pass, not a single advisory and I get to hear a supercharged V6 every time
