I met my Dad for a drink and - as is often the case - the topic of discussion turned to cars. Whilst sat in the beer garden we had a brief look Autotrader, after which followed the subject of E Class coupes, and how much of a bargain they are. Earlier in the year some could be had for a number starting with a 2, which is incredible really. Values had risen a little since but they were very much still in bargain territory. My G42 is back at BMW for the second round of headlight replacement - this time it’s just diagnosis as the revised parts aren’t available yet but i wanted to be in the queue for their eventual availability. Why am I posting about this on my MINI thread? Well, look at the courtesy car they’ve given me!Obviously it’s huge and ugly as sin but I quite like the interior. God knows what this list price on it would be. It’s JCW spec with seemingly all the options ticked. I can’t imagine they sell a huge number, but as small(ish) family SUV’s go it’s at least offering something a bit different.

Back from holiday so the car was collected today and deposited safely at the bodyshop. It was greeted by a 1991 Sierra Cosworth fresh out of the booth following some light restoration so I’m very much hoping the MINI looks as good when I next see it!

1주일간 문제가 되던 볼보 차량, 시동 불가 상태로 견인 입고. 크랭킹은 정상. 고객이 디스트리뷰터를 교체했으며, 과거에도 점화 불량 문제로 여러 번 디스트리뷰터를 교체한 기록 있음. 배선도 임의로 손상되어 수리함.

회사 차량입니다. 약 20분 정도 운행 후 대시보드의 모든 경고등(ABS, 스티어링 컨트롤, MIL)이 켜집니다. 이 현상이 발생하면 TCM과 PCM과의 통신이 끊어집니다. 차량이 식으면 모든 통신이 정상화됩니다.

2006 Mercury Mountaineer V6, 150k miles. 몇 주 동안 간헐적인 헤지테이션(hesitation)과 벅킹(bucking) 증상. 최근에 주행 중 엔진이 갑자기 꺼짐 (이전의 벅킹과 헤지테이션이 선행됨). 딜러샵에서 연료 레일 압력 센서(fuel rail pressure sensor)가 단락되어 과압을 유발하고 엔진을 플러딩하고 있다고 진단함.
