Hi All,First post here, so please be gentle!I am looking for recommendations for a fun weekend car to entertain my 4 year old son.Budget - £5k - £7.5kMake / Model - Dont mind, need adviceRunning costs - Cheap preferablySeats - any, but 2 seater or 3 door preferableYear - Don't mindStorage - Can be garage storedMy day to day car is a Jaguar i-pace. I have very very limited mechanical knowledge so do not want something that needs work. Any small jobs through the ownership period i am happy to have a go at myself (with support from the YouTube oracle!).Appreciate any advice.Thank you

I did that screw years back, and didn’t really get on with it.Interestingly the Emira’s weight distribution is a bit 911-like with the rear bias, but I far preferred the feel of the Lotus to the Porsche.I also got constantly annoyed by getting my hands filthy in the 911 when opening the bonnet to get my luggage out…

1999 Ford Escort ZX2 2.0L DOHC(Zetec 엔진). A/C를 켜면 시동이 걸릴 때 스터터링과 정지가 발생하지만 다시 시작됨. A/C를 끄면 정상 작동. 도로 주행 중 A/C를 켠 상태에서는 문제 없음. 저회전 유휴 상태에서만 정지 시도.

에어컨 컴프레셔 클러치가 작동하지 않음. 컴프레셔 후면 고압 압력 스위치가 분리되어 있었음. 냉매 충전 중 엔진이 떨림(미스파이어 같은 증상) 발생. 다음날 밴이 가속이 안 되고 미스파이어 등의 증상 발생. 이전 엔진은 헤드 개스킷 문제가 있었고 최근 교체됨. 컴프레션 테스트 결과 모든 실린더가 대략 동일하나 기록된 수치를 찾을 수 없음.

2004 Mercury Grand Marquis 자동온도조절 에어컨이 어제는 정상작동했는데 오늘 팬 속도가 전혀 작동하지 않음. 컴프레서는 계속 켜졌다 꺼졌다 반복. 벤트에서 공기가 나오지 않음.

04 쉐보레 말리부 클래식 - 에어컨 버튼을 누르면 작동과 미작동이 반복됨. A/C가 켜져도 무작위로 끄졌다 켜졌다 함 (수 초~15분 간격). 실내 공기 순환 버튼(내기)을 누르고 있으면 A/C가 계속 유지되는 경향 있음. 내기 버튼을 여러 번 누르거나 계속 누르고 있어야 5~15분 동안 A/C가 정상 작동. 팬은 항상 정상 작동.

2001 혼다 CR-V 에어컨 냉방 성능 저하. 공회전 시 50°F까지 냉각되지만 오후 고온에서는 냉각 부족. 컴프레서 클러치 작동음(클릭음) 없음 또는 미작동 상태. 저압 게이지 수치 확인 필요.

Thanks everyone.I ended up going non-BB. £1650 with Direct Line (and that was the 'Prestige' so includes breakdown, legal, PI, enhanced courtesy car, belongings cover etc - the 'essential' version was £1480).All BB policies that were cheaper looked very restrictive and with poor feedback (over sensitive smoothness scores etc), and whilst there were plenty that only tracked speed (+10mph) and hours (11pm to 6am), they were no cheaper so it seemed to be a no brainer.Plus, I've driven with her and obviously know her personality. She's not a reckless driver and is comfortable being cautious.The cl
