£30k?! And you still need to factor in £1500+ when the mechatronic unit fails (which it will).The manual V6 is a far more obvious classic, alongside the QS. A DSG V6 is not rare enough to command this sort of money, but hey, worth a shot I guess?

As the title saysDoes anyone feel the need to get a bigger car for the perceived or real additional protection they offer?I'm in a 2010 Prius and when I'm on a fast road or motorway, I can't help but feel that a Range Rover or Volvo XC90 would completely destroy me (and more imporantly the kids) if something was to go badly wrong.Am I wrong for wanting to go down the route of getting a similar size vehicle just for the sake of evening out the playing field should anything ever happen?I appreciate this kind of question can go very wrong with a lot of people saying that if everyone thought less

Another distraction from the Quattro! I should have this one 'out the door' over Easter.£1k worth of new Ford bits so far to get it to my standard. Having decided that it was time to move on from the C Class we bought in January, it was time to start looking at replacements.Initially an F31 3 series was the preferred option and a return to my safe place, however they all seemed really bloody expensive and it was hard to find at least a 320d with the options we (well, I) wanted. Anything half decent seemed to get sold instantly. Hi,Having previously been stung by losing my No Claims Discount when I did not own my own car for several years and finding out far too late they they "expire", I'm keen not to make the same mistake again. As of last week I am named on the insurance policy of my new lease vehicle (through work sal sac scheme) and am also a named drive on my partner's car.Do I need to do anything (and is there anything I can do) to keep my NCD intact should I decide to buy my own car in 3 years' time and need my own insurance?TIA

I've continued these on our own site now. Current garage includes: McLaren 720S Spider, 675LT Spider, 650S Spider, Senna, Ferrari F40, Maserati GranCabrio, & a Porsche 911 (997.2) GT3 RSI've got a SCG 004S on order and a McLaren 765LT Spider will probably follow that.A few others of potential interest that used to inhabit the garage include a Ferrari F50, 430 Scuderia, 599 GTB HGT
