To be on the safe side I have replaced the offending pipe, the leads, the plugs, the coil and have a new radiator to go in. Brilliant result. Chuffed it's salvageable!My late fathers 2007 mk4 Mondeo passed it's MOT after being off the road for about 6 months now (he passed away in June, but wasn't able to drive it for a good few months before that). Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):* Nearside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e))* Offside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e))* Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened both sides (1.1.14 (a) (ii))* Nearside Rear Lower Suspension arm corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.3 (b) (i))* Offside Rear Lower Suspension arm corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.3 (b) (i))Front tyres need replacing anyway as they're cracked to high heaven. Brake discs are nothing, arms should be mostly ok, they weren't picked up last year so probably have a little life in them yet.
