Then, as per Jag wanting to make a "splash" with their first EV, RR chose to do the Spectre (again, similar rear practicality) as a two door. So there clearly is a cache. Ghost is more practical, granted. And as such the shape is a lot less exciting and a lot more conventional. Everything is a trade-off. If Type01 had the Ghost's silhouette and rear cabin space then we wouldn't be here talking about it with such energy. Why's it a big deal that they've chosen to make a dramatically styled and somewhat compromised saloon, instead of a dramatically styled and even more compromised coupe? Both come with upsides and downsides.I've mentioned before, but recognise it could well be my failing in ability - it's that the whole thing is singularly uncompromising for the exterior design, except for that one bit of adding extra doors. I just don't 'get it' - either truly go all in, or don't! What I would say is have a look at the interior of Spectre. The door aperture starts about 2" in front of the front edge of the rear seat base. So you fall backward into that seat and need to be fairly limber to get back out again. The door aperture on Type01 is positioned about halfway or 2/5s back on the rear seat base. Much easier to access, relatively-speaking.That's a design decision, made with the ultimate purposes of the vehicle in mind. There's no one right answer. If you have a fit and sexy gran then maybe Spectre is sufficiently practical to get her to Claridges for lunch. Happy days. But if your gran is moderately fat then maybe Spectre won't work and you need a Type01 instead. That said, if gran is bloody huge then maybe Type01 is also no good and you need a boring Ghost. Or a Peugeot Traveller?

They have said previously that one of the other cars is a two door coupe and been non-commital about what the third was going to ba apart from saying there wont be any crossover with Range Rover which kind of rules out an SUV but who knows. If they are going to do a two door 2+2 coupe then why not a convertible version, too? Seems logical.Yeah but then really its one car with three derivatives. Last time I was at a meeting where they were taking questions they wer

Either have a centre tunnel flap that covers a screen with a small array of beautifully machined nobs and buttonsOr have a dock for you to plug your phone in, and replace that screen with your own. (like Bugatti did (?))Again it's a mission that's designe lead, but then pulls back from going alll in.Yes, some wonderfully tactile switchgear on the centre would have really helped. But every time I see that wheel and interior I think SD1.

And that's a way smaller car.I asked Google AI if you could develop a platform without a b-pillar, ie. with suicide doors and then use it for another model with a b-pillar and the verdict was no. Apparently, for side impact and rollover crash testing compliance a great deal more engineering has to go into the pillarless version in the rear hinge and door areas. I think that would've added further weight to a car that

It’s irrelevant. Nobody is buying or not buying these on the basis of rear seat ingress/egress. It’s highly retarded to even consider it

Yes please as I've posted many times before. It'll be interesting to see how far the personalisation can go. I wonder if that will include quad motor?
