2007 아우디 TT 2.0 TFSI 장시간 방치로 디스크 녹슬음. 온라인에서 주문한 새 디스크가 도착했는데 기존 디스크(벤틸레이션형)와 직경은 같지만 두께가 얇음. 새 디스크는 솔리드형으로 벤틸레이션형보다 상당히 얇음. 더 얇은 디스크 장착 가능 여부 확인 필요.

에어컨을 켠 후 한동안 지나면 미스트가 나오고 대시보드 아래에서 누수가 발생하며 약 한 달간 지속되고 있음

엔진을 직접 자전거에 연결하고 페달을 밟으면 시동을 걸지 않았는데도 엔진이 회전하는가? 디젤과 가솔린 엔진 모두에서 페달을 누르면 힘이 가해지는가? 언덕을 내려가면서 가속페달을 밟지 않을 때 엔진이 연료를 소비하는가? 시동을 끈 후 기어가 물려있을 때 어떻게 되는가?

2014 Toyota Corolla, 주행거리 30,000km 미만. 뒷바퀴(우측) 타이어가 도로 파편으로 펑크. 타이어 샵에서 패치 대신 플러그로 수리했으나, 겨울 추운 날씨에 공기가 빠짐. 다른 샵에서는 전체 타이어 교체를 권장하고 있음.

멀티-포트 분사와 복합-포트 분사의 차이점이 무엇인지, 그리고 다른 연료 분사 방식의 대안이 있는지 궁금함. 연료 펌프를 업그레이드하고 연료 라인 압력을 높여서 흡입 밸브가 열릴 때 연료를 강제로 엔진에 흘려보낼 수 없는 이유가 무엇인지 질문.

포드 포커스 MKII 1.8 Duratec 엔진에서 따뜻한 엔진 시작 시 심한 시동 불량. 스타터는 강력하게 돌지만 엑셀 페달을 펌프질할 때만 시동이 걸리며, 때로는 저회전에서만 시동됨. 따뜻한 상태에서 약 20%는 정상 시동되지만 냉간 시작 시에는 증상 없음. 연료 베이퍼 락(vapor lock) 의심.

1994 코롤라 폐차 예정 중. 현재 윈터 타이어(트레드 양호, 사용 적음)가 장착되어 있음. 타이어 주행 거리 불명확, 휠은 중간 정도 녹슬어 있음. 윈터 타이어의 가치 여부와 썸머 타이어로 교체해서 판매할 가치가 있는지 검토 중

오토크로스 경쟁을 시작했는데, 애프터마켓 휠/타이어로 인해 Stock 클래스에 출전할 수 없음. Street Touring 클래스에서 경쟁하고 있으며, 저예산으로 효과적인 업그레이드를 하고 싶지만 클래스 규정을 지키면서 일일 운전이 가능해야 함. 타이어가 힘을 전달할 수 없으면 다른 개조의 이점이 크지 않다는 점을 인식함.

연료펌프 소음이 불일정함. 라이트, 에어컨, 제상기 등을 켜면 연료펌프 속도가 낮아지고 음역대가 낮아짐. RPM이 너무 낮을 때 (액셀 해제 후 클러치 진입 시, 또는 명확한 이유 없이) 1초 정도 딥 현상 발생. 시동 직후 엔진 RPM이 위험할 정도로 낮음 (이 차종은 시동 후 처음 몇 초간 연료펌프가 느리게 작동하는 특성 있음). 이러한 불일정성이 일부 문제의 원인일 수 있음.

브레이크 패드 교환

2015 골프 후륜 디스크와 패드 교체 후 백업 상태에서 브레이크 밟을 때 한쪽 또는 양쪽에서 "덜컹" 소리 발생. 전진 상태로 변경 후 브레이크 밟으면 다시 "덜컹" 소리 발생. 같은 방향에서만 계속 브레이크를 밟으면 소리 없음. 교체 전에는 발생하지 않았던 증상. 패드가 캘리퍼 한쪽으로 밀려나는 소리로 판단됨.

에어컨 가스 충전

'06 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L L33 (146,000마일). 에어컨이 차갑다가 미온수처럼 변하며 반복적으로 사이클링됨. 저압측을 23-24psi에서 40psi로 냉매 충전함. 컴프레서는 정상적으로 온/오프 사이클링. 저압측 흡입은 차갑고 고압측은 따뜻함.

Without knowing the price per litre, this (surely) has to be a positive development?The UK (and European) Governments need to have a sliding methodology towards phasing our fossil fuels entirely. This seems, on the face of it, a means to do just that, that will (should) also gain support from petrolheads.
