Jaguars tank in value for a reason and it is down to an ethos thing that absolutely none of the totally pained gestation of this new line of products makes me think they have learned an iota from. They just don't present a 'good look' and that is as much a part of the brand as the actual car is.People are saying they hope this is going to be a great product. People shouldn't have to hope, they should just know that it is going to be at the very least competent and not need to be apologised for, and the idea that any brand should should sell or not sell on the back of spiting a demographic is just totally petty and not good business. A good product has to appeal to EVERYONE, not just the people with the money to afford it. The people who can buy it should want to buy it and the people who can't should aspire to.The notion that you can make anything appealing by actively promoting the idea that "we don't care if you don't like this because it wasn't made for you" is at best naive and ignorant and at worst plain arrogant. Either way it is marketing suicide. Even if the intention is true you never say that quiet bit out loud.
