브레이크 디스크 교환

2016 Toyota RAV4 하이브리드 후륜 서스펜션 영역에서 신비로운 삑삑거리는 소리 발생. 속도 범프를 지날 때만 발생하며, 전면 서스펜션 압축 시에는 들리지 않고 후면 서스펜션 압축 시에만 발생. 수개월간 자동차를 거의 사용하지 않은 후 시작됨. 쇼크 업소버는 정상 작동 (삑삑거리는 소리 제외). 정기 점검에서 이상 발견 안 됨.

2003 Chevy Tahoe Z71 - 브레이크 페달이 평소보다 더 깊게 눌리며 반응이 둔함. 패드/로터는 양호함. 급제동 시 '서비스 브레이크' 경고등과 경고음 발생. 코드 리더에서 저장된 결함코드 없음. 경고는 자동으로 사라짐.

2008 Chevy Impala, 3.5L V6 (non-flex fuel). 실린더 1 미스파이어/점화 실패 코드(P0300 등) 발생. 설치류가 하부 인테이크 매니폴드 아래로 침입하여 실린더 1 연료분사기(fuel injector) 배선을 손상.

2012 Toyota Rav4에서 브레이크 적용 시 노킹음 발생. 노킹음의 속도가 휠 회전 속도와 일치하며, 속도 감소에 따라 노킹음도 감소함. 이전에는 워프된 로터(디스크)가 원인이었으나, 이번에는 주행 중 1~2번만 간헐적으로 발생하여 상황이 다름. 계속된 워프된 로터라면 항상 음이 발생해야 하는데 간헐적인 점이 혼동스러움.

제대로 설치하고 토크 조정한 스터드 너트가 풀어지는 문제 발생. 너트는 조정한 위치에 유지되지만 스터드 자체가 여러 번 빠져나감. 처음에는 잘 조여지고 몇 주간 정상이다가 갑자기 스터드가 빠져나와 나사산에 겨우 몇 나선만 남거나 완전히 빠져나오는 현상 발생.

장시간 오르막길(가파르지 않아도)에서 엔진이 심하게 오일을 태우고 동력이 크게 떨어집니다. 고RPM(~5k)으로 오르막을 올라갈 때는 거의 발생하지 않지만, 저RPM(~3k)에서는 매번 발생합니다. 이 현상이 발생할 때 배기관에서 하얀 연기가 나옵니다. Alfa Romeo 146 '97형, 1.6 T.Spark 16V 엔진

Husqvarna 440E 톱이 불안정하게 작동합니다. 어떤 날은 잘 돌아가다가 다음 날은 시동이 걸리지 않습니다. 때로는 극도로 린(lean) 상태여서 유휴 상태에서 가속되고, 때로는 극도로 리치(rich) 상태여서 배기관에서 휘발유가 흘러나옵니다. 매일 고/저 제트를 30분 이상 조정해야 정상 작동하고 유휴 상태를 유지할 수 있습니다. 다음 날이 되면 다시 완전히 나빠집니다. 카브레터와 배기 시스템을 분해, 초음파 세척, 재조립했으며, 배기 개방으로 상당히 린 상태가 되었습니다.

변속기 오일 교환

OBD2를 통해 자동 변속기의 기어 시프트를 제어할 수 있는지 궁금함. 예를 들어 Raspberry Pi 같은 마이크로컴퓨터로 OBD2 코드를 전송하여 2008 BMW e60 530xD의 변속을 최적화할 수 있을까? Service 08 같은 OBD2 기능이 있는 것으로 알고 있지만 구체적인 정보를 찾기 어려움. 엔진 부하, RPM, 압력 등의 OBD2 데이터를 읽어 자동 변속을 더 최적으로 제어하고 싶음.

시프트 레버가 매우 이상함. 사진에서 보듯이 두 개의 트랜스미션이 백투백으로 사용되었고, 이 시프트 레이아웃이 스플리터를 사용하지 않고도 두 트랜스미션을 함께 작동시킬 수 있도록 설계되었을 가능성이 있음.

2005 Jetta GL 2.0 자동변속기 - 시동이 어렵고 시동 후 20mph 이상 가속 불가. 가속 페달을 밟아야만 시동됨. 시동 직후 이상음 발생하며 정차 중 신호대기 시 가끔 엔진이 꺼짐.

2004 이스즈 크로스윈드 2.5L 4JA1 엔진: 엔진을 끈 상태에서 트랜스미션 오일 레벨을 확인하면 'C' 라인에 맞지만, 엔진을 켠 후 모든 기어를 통해 변속한 후 확인하면 딥스틱에 도달하지 않음. 저유량 증상이 있음.

2003 Astra의 기어박스가 엔진 시동 중일 때 뉴트럴에 걸림. 기어 스틱을 움직이거나 강한 힘을 주면 가끔 해제됨. 리버스로 시프트할 때만 그라인딩 음성 발생 (다른 기어는 차단됨). 엔진 시동 중 1단에서 시작하면 엔진이 떨리고 몇 초 후 꺼짐.

2010 Dodge Challenger with NAG1 독일식 변속기, 160,000마일 근처. 트랜스미션 오일 팬과 필터 교환을 계획 중이나 이 모델에 대한 경험 부족.

Pleased the day went well in general mate and the car handled well. Interesting on the brakes though. When the Vantage S was introduced it used a 380mm front 2 piece floating disc (up from 355mm, non floating) and a 6 piston Brembo caliper (up from 4 piston) and Pagid RS4-2-2 pads. These are much more capable. Add braided lines and Castrol SRF fluid and I reckon you’d be ok on track. You can usually buy caliper spacers to enable the existing caliper to accept a bigger disc, but I’d swap out the caliper for the beefier 6 pot too.
