2008 Jetta SE 2.5L OEM 배터리가 약 1개월 전 거의 완전히 방전됨 (엔진을 끄고 방치하여 표면 전압 부족, 20분 유휴 운전 후 시동 가능). 그 후 며칠간 정상 작동했으나 충전 부족 상태에서 이전보다 훨씬 빠르게 다시 방전됨. 충전 시간 부족 및 가능한 증류수 부족으로 인한 것으로 추정됨.

As above. I’ve had a plate on a car for 20-odd years, which I want to take off and revert to original. The car is MOTd but until Saturday was SORN, not taxed. I’ve gone to put the plate on retention online (which I’ve done several times with other vehicles in the past) but the gov website says it can’t be done online and I have to fill in a form and send to them (with a cheque! No idea if I still own a cheque book!) and they’ll consider and decide whether I can do this or not. A quick question to AI at the weekend said “tax it and you’ll be able to do it online”. A year ago at car inspection, I had to have a brake job. This year, the brakes failed again, due to what they said was a faulty part, which they were able to get replaced by the manufacturer + $50 for the labor. Their standard labor was probably $125 for that job. They offered to split the balance of the labor charge. But I feel like I paid for the labor a year ago. It’s not my fault it was a damaged part. I managed to get them to drop the charge, but he told me it was standard to charge whatever labor they weren’t able to get covered by the manufacturer. Is it standard? If it is, I’ll pay it.

N62 V8 엔진을 블록까지 분해 중이며, 실린더 벽 상태를 확인하고 싶음. Alusil 블록은 일반적인 방식으로 호닝이 불가능하다는 정보를 들었음. 호닝으로 손상을 검사할 수 있는지, 그리고 블록이 오버보어(over-bore)되어야 하는 경우 블록이 완전히 사용 불가능해지는지 확인 필요.

2004 Subaru Outback가 영하(화씨 0도 이하)의 매우 추운 아침에 짧은 거리 주행 후 시동이 걸리지 않음. 아침에는 정상 시동되지만 약 400m 주행 후 20분 뒤 엔진은 회전하지만 불이 붙지 않음. 30분 정도 시간을 두면 쉽게 시동됨.

2011 Jeep Liberty: 2014년 4월 오일팬 손상으로 무기름 상태 운행 후 수리. 10월부터 엔진 노킹(叩く음) 시작. 이후 2014년 10월, 2015년 3월, 7월, 2016년 5월에 반복적으로 노킹 발생. 수리점에서 탭펫(tappet) 마모, 리프터(lifter) 블리드다운 진단. 2016년 5월 심한 노킹으로 운행 불가.

冷间 시동 후 10초 정도만 운전하다가 2-3분 후 고속도로 언덕길에서 풀 스로틀(full throttle)을 사용하고 있으며, 엔진 온도가 85-90도에 도달하는 데 10-15분 소요. 엔진 완전 워밍업 전에 3500RPM 이상 회전수 사용 중.

진단 장비 없이 직감, 달의 위상, 그리고 접지 상태 같은 비과학적 방법으로만 진단하려는 정비사가 증가하는 추세. 스캔 도구, 멀티미터, 오실로스코프 같은 기본적인 진단 장비를 사용하지 않음.

My view is that most manufacturers milk any halo product for all it's worth. That results in such dilution that nothing is special anymore. It's amazing that you can take a quarter-million pounds worth of V12 GT, combine it with a priceless episode of racing history, and result in something that looks like a cheaply done promotional stunt. I think it needed a lot more subtlety - perhaps just blue accents on the wheels not the whole thing, and keep the stripe but omit the roundel?
