2004 Subaru Outback가 영하(화씨 0도 이하)의 매우 추운 아침에 짧은 거리 주행 후 시동이 걸리지 않음. 아침에는 정상 시동되지만 약 400m 주행 후 20분 뒤 엔진은 회전하지만 불이 붙지 않음. 30분 정도 시간을 두면 쉽게 시동됨.
처리 내용
다음에 이 현상이 발생하면 가속 페달을 끝까지 밟은 상태로 유지하세요. 이렇게 하면 컴퓨터가 엔진을 플러드 모드(flooded mode)로 시동시킵니다. 엔진이 시동되면 연료 과다 공급(flooded) 상태였던 것입니다.

VW Golf 4가 주차 중 엔진이 켜져 있고 에어컨이 고속으로 작동 중이었으나 차 내부에는 아무도 없었음. 키가 삽입되어 있는지 확인할 수 없었음. 차량이 도난되지 않으려면 키가 삽입되어 있어야 할 것 같은데, 키 없이 엔진을 계속 구동할 수 있도록 개조된 차량일 가능성이 있는지 확인하고 싶음.
