I said he has overseen the introduction of numerous models at JLR that have proven hugely desirable to a mass audience. Which he absolutely has.Exactly how good a designer he is, I have no idea. But he clearly at least knows how to pick a winning design, which is probably the more important attribute to have at a large OEM. You can get loads of designers in and have all kinds of options in front of you. That's surely relatively easy for a large OEM.Knowing which broad direction to go in and then which specific designs to produce has got to be the difficult bit. And he definitely has a talent in that area.
