Can a loose serpentine belt damage my power steering

처리 내용

It is highly unlikely that a loose serpentine belt would destroy your power steering system. It is possible that the power steering would stop working, make odd noises, or steer jerkily because of a slipping belt, but in that event, replacing the belt should fix the problem. It is possible that the power-steering was having issues incidental to the alternator belt tension, but to determine whether the serpentine belt is at fault, we would have to know what exactly the mechanic is planning on doing to the system and what he perceives to be the specific issue. A simple serpentine belt replacement ranges from $60-$200, though it could be somewhat more in unusual situations.

Hi, friends. Anyone know which of the two hoses on the power steering reservoir is the return line? I need to change the fluid in my 94 Camry with the 2.2 l. Alternatively, is there an easy way to differentiate between return and suction?

Any chance someone can tell me what’s going wrong here. I’m used a titan 3/16 double flaring tool and nicopp. It keeps giving me this weird stepped flare. I’m not sure what to call this issue so I didn’t know what to look up. I’m doing my best to get a square cut, then I chamfer the outside with a file and chamfer the inside with a utility knife until there’s no burrs. I’m sort of worried that the screwing motion of the tool is messing with it somehow and instead I need a press tool. What’s weird is I did get one sort of good flare but couldn’t replicate it. It’s also made a few good flares us

Does anyone here have experience with Front Steering and Suspension kits for older cars? [1] I’m helping a friend get a 1966 Mustang he inherited back up and running. The body is in nice condition. He’s looking at it as something to drive around locally, and not as a daily driver or for long trips. We got it running and it’s now registered. His front suspension is sloppy and loose, and has more steering play than it should, (even after tightening the steering box adj screw). The car is 1.5 hrs away from me, and we’re doing the work on his garage floor. We work on the car about twice a year. He
