I think some of the reactions are a bit dramatic, it does look better than the daft full dash full of screens Merc approach.I have found interiors are hard to decide on from a photo as you miss the tactility and photos dont convey quality very well, I dont think its that horrendous, looks ok, not exactly inspiring but this does seem to be the direction car interiors have taken, will mainly be down to how it actually works when you are driving it as well.It isnt however as appealing as the interior on the last XJ, but would need to actually sit in it and drive to get it and make a decision.

Think there's a lot of group think in the thread here. Everyone wants to hate the car after the initial brand relauch, so whatever they did was going to get negative comments on here.Definitely wouldn't say it's the best interior I've seen in recent times, but equally far from the worst. Plenty of horrendous stuff out there (like the Merc someone else posted and also the new Cayenne which seems like a bit of an orgy of screens). Material quality will for sure make or break it I think.Ultimately, you'll never please everyone with design, and given that the majority on here seem to have this pastiched image of Jag with walnut trim, toggle switches and cream leather, it's no surprise to read some of the comments. I think plenty of buyers probably will like it, but it remains to be seen whether it will change the wider perception of Jaguar as a brand.Be interestd to see the finished design. It'll clearly stand out. Not sure what the measure of success will be for JLR with it, but I can see why certain people will want one. In the context of London or LA it'll look pretty wild against the other cars around, and surely that's a success?
