I love everything about it, including the colour scheme, but not so much the looks. But when you're driving it you don't see that anyway and it really was so advanced technically it deserves legendary status. Even if I'd still prefer a 288 GTO or an F40!

Everything about this car from the front to the back and the steering wheel to the headrests is just plain ugly, can’t imagine this will be a success for BMW, who seem to taking Renaults former spot of building the most unspectacular cars in Europe - the Chinese must be laughing all the way to the bank….

I had one of these for twelve months and it was absolutely brilliant. I test drove it against a 991.1 Carrera and it felt much quicker and better put together. Slightly slower than a Carrera S mind. It replaced an R35 GT-R and was more relaxing to drive and cost half as much to run (which was important with a long commute). They're not a car for you if you're obsessed by big numbers and 0-60 times (though they're not slow), but they are definitely more than the sum of their parts. Massively misunderstood. It's not a sports car to drive on its door handles, it's an eye catching GT for daily us

It would have to be the Maserati. I love the interior. Same colour as in my GranTurismo and altho it s not for everyone I love it! Second would be the Jag. I recall first seeing one in Manchester centre when they first came out and being absolutely blown away. And I feel they ve stood the test of time exceptionally well. Good list.The grey interior of the Audi reminds me of a pair of grey slip on shoes, I really don’t think I could sit in that for long.And compare the Arnage to the new Torcal. What are they doing to Bentley these days!

Bit of a random one for me but had to do it. Had an EK4 back when I was 19, and loved every second of it, sold it on like an idiot and always regretted it. Since then I've had a fair few of the "better" ones, FD2 Type R (JDM import), DC2, DC5, EK9, Civic Jordan, all genuinely great cars, faster, rarer on paper, whatever you want to call it. Oddly enough I haven't driven the new 718 EV so my comments are based on the US version of the Model 3 Performance...The steering is perhaps the best thing about the 996 and the steering of the M3P is not as good. It is however better than many modern cars. It is precise and not numb, but it is not the wriggling delight of an empty 996 with an aggressive alignment.The engine of the 996 is increasingly enthusiastic at higher revs and it does wail nicely but saying it's `increasingly enthusiastic' is the just another way of saying it lacks torque at low engine speeds. My point on EVs being problematic in the US was based on their ability or not to make longer journeys and rely on a DC fast charging network, not local commutes of under 15 miles. Tesla have their Supercharger network of 38,000 stations out of 'over 73,000' DC fast chargers. That compares with 2,770 UK-based Tesla Superchargers out of 27,372 DC fast chargers in the UK. The Tesla Model S was introduced in 2012 and two years later in the UK, so you would expect the DC charging network in the US to be bigger, given there are 5.7x more US drivers than there are in the UK, but it isn't (it's 2.67:1
