Looks like every other SUV/crossover - a blobby van with windows. And from the side, you'd be very hard pushed to tell any of them apart.It'll no doubt sell very well because that's what the public have been told they want (and everybody else drives an SUV, so I must as well), and it has a BMW badge on it, which the same people still think is a good thing.There is this idea that people complain about the looks of new cars and then they like them in a few years' time. Nope, I still dislike the looks of SUV/crossovers, the various terrible BMW grilles, the E65 7 series and so on.BMWs still sell well based on past cache, but I do wonder if eventually this will wear off and people will look at what they (mostly) produce these days.I feel the same way about the SUV/crossover fashion as I do about other fashions: it astounds me how much people will go along with what everyone else is doing, no matter what it is, and not think they look ridiculous. I recall when 3 out of 4 young men had beards, or when swathes of women wore bindis or ponchos. And yet 12 months before or after, they'd think they look absurd. It's like when every 10-15 years, women suddenly decide that leopard print doesn't make you look cheap as chips... nope, it still does.And even if everyone else is doing it, you look preposterous driving around in your pointlessly raised vehicles. And the reason you look so stupid is because you're only doing it because everyone else does and because manufacturers told you this was fashionable so that they could make more money.Ahhh, I feel better for that.
