정비 사례

70km/h 주행 중 갑자기 우측 조향이 무거워짐. 소리 없이 한동안 핸들과 싸우다가 두 번의 큰 소리 발생 후 정상으로 돌아옴. 그 후 회전 시 클릭음 발생. 동네 진입 후 직진에서도 소리가 심해지고 정지. 분해 결과 CV 조인트 내부 구(球) 6개 중 4개 손상. 사전 경고음이나 징후 없음.

자동차는 바퀴가 4개인데 스페어 타이어는 1개만 있는 이유가 궁금합니다. 주행 중에 타이어가 2개 이상 펑크날 수도 있지 않을까요?

냉각수 교환

2012 소나타 하이브리드 오버히트. 실린더 헤드를 분해하여 재정렬 작업 후 새 헤드 가스켓과 볼트로 조립. 엔진은 잘 작동하며 수온 게이지가 중간값 바로 아래에서 안정적. 그러나 엔진 시동을 끄면 1~2분 동안 냉각수가 오버플로우 탱크로 흘러나감. 연소 누수 테스트(Combustion Leak Test)는 통과.

타이어 교환

Chevrolet Astro가 급회전 시 타이어 마크를 남김. 회전 중 외측 앞바퀴가 과도하게 안쪽으로 기울어짐(캠버 부족). 타이어의 바깥쪽 20% 부분만 접지. 양쪽 휠이 동일하게 영향받음. 완만한 회전에서는 문제 없음. 휠 얼라인먼트 후에도 지속(토 인을 0° ±0.06' 범위 내 조정 완료). 약 1개월 전 아이들 암(Idler Arm) 양쪽 교체함.

디젤 트랙터가 장시간 방치 후 배터리가 방전되어 점프 스타터를 사용했으나 케이블을 역으로 연결함. 양극 단자에서 연기가 발생했고 점프 스타터가 소손됨. 배터리를 충전한 후 엔진은 잘 회전하지만 시동이 걸리지 않음. 전기 시스템이 손상되었거나 극성이 역으로 되었을 가능성이 있는지 확인 필요.

에탄올 혼합 휘발유만 판매되는 것 같음. 에탄올이 엔진에 더 해롭다고 생각하고, 차량을 20만 마일까지 운행하려고 함. 에탄올 무함유 휘발유를 구입할 수 있는지 확인하고 싶음.

냉각수 교환

냉각수가 계속 새고 있습니다. 진단 결과 쿨란트 플랜지(coolant flange)에 구멍이 있다고 했습니다. 엔진 뒤쪽에 위치해 있습니다. 2003년식 VW 파사트 1.8T 입니다.

2002 Acura RSX. 배터리는 정상이고 모든 실내등이 켜짐. 차량이 거의 시동 걸릴 뻔하지만 마지막 단계가 부족함. 점프 케이블을 사용할 때만 마지막 단계를 극복할 수 있음. 최근에 배터리를 충전함.

냉각수가 매일 소비되고 있음. 자동차에서 새는 곳이 보이지 않으며 엔진은 정상 작동함.

새 차량이라 클러치 바이트 포인트가 높아서 가끔 엔진이 꺼짐. 엔진 스톨이 차량에 손상을 주는지 우려됨.

타이어를 2개만 교체할 경우 어디에 장착해야 하는가에 대한 의문. 새 타이어를 앞에 장착하면 빗길에서 회전할 때 견인력을 잃을 수 있다는 우려. 브레이킹 성능이 영향을 받을 수 있다는 우려. 앞 타이어가 헌 타이어일 경우의 위험성.

스파크 플러그 교체 중 한 개의 웰에서 오일이 가득 찼음. 밸브 커버를 떼어내고 실린더 헤드를 확인하니 상당한 양의 오일이 고여있음

Hello everyone.I keep seeing ad's on TV about compensation for anyone who owned or leased a diesel engined car between 2007 and 2021. I'm guessing this is something similar to PPI?My question is, has anyone had any experience of these claims and if so, what? Have you been successful? Any recommendations about how to go about claiming? Any other advice/comments?

'97 스바루 레거시) 일반 도로 주행 중 가속 페달을 밟으니 차량이 갑자기 스터터링(떨림)과 점프 현상 발생. 체크 엔진 경고등이 깜빡이기 시작함(이전에 본 적 없음). 운전석 도어 왼쪽 에어벤트 너머에서 매우 큰 클릭음이 들림. 친구가 확인한 결과 "변속기가 변속을 시도하고 있음" 의심. 후드를 열고 변속기 오일을 확인했더니 오일이 완전히 없음.

I was talking to a friend who holds an HGV licence but only to move his horses about. Has owned nice cars.He was asking about my motorbike and he said “are you one of those annoying riders who overtake in traffic jams” I asked if he meant filtering, he said yes and then said “I always try to block them”. I asked why he did that as he couldn’t go where I go and it is totally legal. He didn’t even have a reply.

Plenty of tinkering space!My indispensable right hand man at work was my first apprentice and now we have a 22year old apprentice who I employed because he was into technical Lego. In his spare time he is now welding / repairing a MK2 MX5 on his parents driveway. We work in chemical / process / manufacturing - hands on engineering and maintenance. Having recently sold a 535i Touring, and still missing it, I'd take the 135i. 3.0, manual and RWD.The little S1 would get a look in though, as I had a really fun drive in one a couple of years ago and I still look at them in classifieds from time to time.
