When I look at Lamborghini Veneno and compare it for example to the Ferrari 458 Italia I can see that Lamborghini used a V12 while Ferrari placed a V8 inside the 458 Italia. I wonder why Lamborghini uses a V12 as it should be the heavier engine. Also due to additional 4 cylinders it has more spinning parts and wearing parts. Shouldn't the V8 have advantages over the V12? So I wonder why did the Lamborghini choose the V12 over an V8? I find the V8, after the 6 cylinder boxster from Porsche, the best engine when taking agreement between weight, spinning parts, horsepower/torque and space.

The turbo is clocked at approx 45 degrees to it OEM location. This is due to the large 100mm intake required. It also allows the use of non Subaru specific turbochargers. This unit is a Garrett GT3582R with a .82 Tial stainless turbine housing. The tial housing was used as its a far superior smooth casting, 40% lighter, fully v-banded and has the bonus of not rusting. Shame it's hidden away under the turbo blanket. I m

Sorry but there is no excuse for that. The pavement must be there for a reason so surely access to it for anyone in a wheelchair or pushchair is more of a priority than the comfort of a selfish trucker?

Do I want it? No I don't want a Ferrari EV.Do i appreciate a design that's clean and not aggressive for once? Absolutely. More of this please, but with V8s and less weightand fewer doors

Given there were only 5 new GranCabrio Trofeo’s registered in 2024 I can’t imagine Maserati are targeting much more than double figures per year for this one. Might be £50k less than a DB12 upfront but the Aston would be cheaper to lease / save the difference in depreciation which would make this a tough choice…

It looks the business from the outside and those rocker switches do look quite cool. I'm not sure the badge is established enough to sell too many over here at this money though. While certainly not all, I don't think it's controversial to say a majority of buyers for £70k SUVs are at least a bit interested in perceived status.Mind you, you have to start building that reputation somewhere. Maybe BYD see bringing it here as a loss leader to help establish the brand.

They just have. My 2006 e class looks like a normal size car these days. Especially the width of it. Even driving an F10 5 series feels scary on some roads, can’t imagine what the latest 5 is like to drive around the countryside.

Hopefully somebody works for Highways and might be able to advise;Who oversees lane closures and temp speed cameras? Do they need any qualifications? Does anybody check whether lane closures are appropriate? Does anybody weigh up the impact on the wider world when deciding how many lanes should be closed off? Does anybody check whether lanes are opened promptly? Does anybody check whether the imposition of temporary speed limits is appropriate?I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that lanes are being closed and temp speed limits imposed without any kind of impact assessment. It is exceptiona

Don't care how much dosh you've got kicking around no one's head says £500k needs to be spent on car. Only the heart can justify that. It's going to tug on nobodies strings is it. Surely it looks better in the flesh that the photo's suggest. It really can't be that bad, can it ?Those wiper blades ????There are over 50,000 people who don't care about £500k. Although they'll just be rented for a few years so what will that cost? Maybe £200-250k, £7k/month (the cost of just one head of hous

Old, slow, thirsty, expensive to run, not even that quick, overpriced. At least it’ll sound fairly decent.

Thanks everyone.I ended up going non-BB. £1650 with Direct Line (and that was the 'Prestige' so includes breakdown, legal, PI, enhanced courtesy car, belongings cover etc - the 'essential' version was £1480).All BB policies that were cheaper looked very restrictive and with poor feedback (over sensitive smoothness scores etc), and whilst there were plenty that only tracked speed (+10mph) and hours (11pm to 6am), they were no cheaper so it seemed to be a no brainer.Plus, I've driven with her and obviously know her personality. She's not a reckless driver and is comfortable being cautious. The cl

I was looking at the latest news about Tesla's Cybertruck, and how the whole project is basically that episode of The Simpsons where a company gets Homer to design a car. Elon Musk has now said that making it profitable and scaling its production is going to be really difficult so it could all be quite damaging for Tesla, financially speaking. That said, despite the thread title I don't believe Cybertruck is going to kill Tesla - pre-orders suggest it'll sell well and their fans are pseudo-religious - but it got me wondering about models that had failed so badly that they threatened or even kil
