However VW used, as is borne out on PH, particularly on classic threads, to be a distinct ‘cut above’ There was a small VW tax to be paid for that going back to the days when they rusted less because of generous wax protection as is identified on here for the Campers. Now, though they are just mainstream cars . Once the USP fades, folk are going to shop elsewhere and, particularly for non ‘ car people’ it’s easy to see the appeal of Chinese cars which will doubtless improve, as did the Korean vehicles. I’m not posting as a hater of EVs VAG obviously rushed into that market prematurely.
