Very promising but unfortunately the general market doesn't now want this kind of car at a mass-produced level. I love mid engined cars. I love my Elise. I loved my MR2s (well, Mk1 and M3 at least) but i know i'm in the minority and it is unfortunately probable that no mass-produced car maker will ever bring to market a reasonably priced rear mid engined car again. If the Mk4 MR2 ever arrives, it now looks like its going to be a GR MR2 with a suitably high price - not the MX5 competitor i was hoping for.Won't they? Aren't Toyota about to release the new Celica based on the GR-Yaris drivetrain and possible AWD system? Porsche can still sell the 911. Lotus do sell the Emira (just not in the same quantities) and should the Celica come out, I doubt Toyota will struggle. Remember when people said the GR-Yaris would struggle. Too pricey and no one wants Hot hatches anymore. But a genuine 911 competitor would probably be well received. It doesn't need 600+bhp. It can't have a £400k+ price tag. Package it the same,
