If they try to price it around £50k, it’ll fall flat on its face. A petrol Golf GTI starts at £42k before considerable discounts, and a Golf R is around £47k, also pre discounts.I know they’re bought on monthlies, but the monthlies will be that much higher if the price is too high. And the likely depreciation on these will only make the monthlies even higher. Shouldn’t PS/£ be generally less for an EV? £50k is pricing it in the wrong direction.

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option
