The idea of a convertible, RWD, manual sports car for high days and holidays has been in the back of my mind for some time. I won t say I manifested this, but I did constantly peruse AutoTrader and slowly drip feed the idea into Mrs SS brain over a few months. So when I came across this 2013 NC Sport Tech which looked to be very clean, with 24K miles and loads of history it there was only one thing to be done: a trip from Leeds to Brum yesterday morning to test, check it all stacked up and do the deal. First impressions are that it is an absolute hoot and will fit the bill of a weekend summ

Lovely car OP. :thumbsup: A mate of a mate used to race a manual XJS in the JEC series until the engine broke a few years ago, and he hasn't managed to get it rebuilt yet. But what a great car!

I've been watching Pete's Garage on YouTube and the guy is absolutely amazing and very enlightening on the subject. He has at least one video on engine painting but he mentions it in a number of other videos. However, he doesn't really expound on why an engine should be painted. What are the benefits of painting an engine? For example, my Tacoma has an aluminum block and aluminum heads but they are not painted. Why are some other engines painted?

More to the point: what's happening with the Curfew XJ-S?

Not sure whether to add the body protection kit and considering removing the bulkhead.

오일 컨트롤 링이 심하게 마모되어 많은 양의 오일을 소모하고 있는데, 압축 링은 아직 양호한 상태일 수 있는가? 아니면 보통 함께 마모되어 오일 소모와 저 실린더 압력이 함께 나타나는가?

2004 혼다 엘리먼트 EX의 에어백 경고등(빨간색)이 최근에 켜졌습니다. 혼다 딜러에서 진단 비용으로 $109를 요청했습니다. OBD-II 리더기/스캔 툴로 직접 진단할 수 있는지 확인하고 싶으며, 진단 리포트를 출력해서 딜러에 가져가려고 합니다. 에어백 관련 정비나 수리는 혼다 공식 딜러에서 받을 예정입니다.

94 인테그라에서 써모스탯 게이지가 콜드(C) 마크 아래로 계속 표시됨. 30분 이상 주행 후에도 콜드 아래 또는 최대 1/3 정도까지만 올라감. 중간 마크(정상 온도)에 도달하지 않음. 날씨가 뜨거운 날씨에도 엔진 온도가 낮게 표시됨.

콜드 스타트 시 엔진에서 날카로운 고음의 재채기 같은 소리 발생. 약 2개월간 지속. 시작은 콜드 스타트 시 발생했으나, 최근에는 주행 후 재시동 시 10회 중 1회 정도 발생. 엔진 시동 및 운행은 정상.

I’m currently laid up at home after an op and have just gone through this thread from start to finish. What a fantastic collection of cars and the way you approach the running and upkeep of them makes for fascinating reading. I also have a particular soft spot for English bull terriers so any shot of Frank is a highlight too...

96년식 머스탱 GT, 4.6L V8 엔진. 몇 개월 전 과열 사건 후(히터 호스 피팅이 카본 파이버 인테이크 매니폴드에서 빠짐 - 수리 완료) 엔진 오일 경고등 점등. 오일 레벨이 매우 낮아 디프스틱에 거의 표시 안 됨. 2.5쿼트 보충하여 풀 마크까지 올림. 엔진은 정상 작동하고 과열 문제 없음. 다음날 조금 운행 후 문제 재발.

냉각수 교환

2012 혼다 시빅(주행거리 약 36,000마일)을 최근 구매했는데, 에어컨에서 간헐적으로 신나 또는 매직마카 냄새가 난다. 냄새는 달콤한 냄새(부동액)나 곰팡이 냄새가 아니다. 에어컨이 실내공기를 재순환할 때 특히 냄새가 나는 것 같다. 냄새가 나기 전에 감압음(hissing sound)이 들리고, 곧 사라진다.
