Red MINI. What’s not to like? Brilliant fun to drive, relatively easy to work on, lots of cheap parts or expensive (but proven) upgrades, and won’t ever lose you a penny. Perfect - hope you enjoy it!

My G42 is back at BMW for the second round of headlight replacement - this time it’s just diagnosis as the revised parts aren’t available yet but i wanted to be in the queue for their eventual availability. Why am I posting about this on my MINI thread? Well, look at the courtesy car they’ve given me!Obviously it’s huge and ugly as sin but I quite like the interior. God knows what this list price on it would be. It’s JCW spec with seemingly all the options ticked. I can’t imagine they sell a huge number, but as small(ish) family SUV’s go it’s at least offering something a bit different.

I met my Dad for a drink and - as is often the case - the topic of discussion turned to cars. Whilst sat in the beer garden we had a brief look Autotrader, after which followed the subject of E Class coupes, and how much of a bargain they are.
