증상
볼보 240의 오일 펌프를 교체한 후 오일 펌프를 Vaseline으로 프라이밍했습니다. 타이밍 벨트를 분리한 상태에서 드릴로 보조 드라이브(오일 펌프와 디스트리뷰터를 구동)를 이용해 펌프를 수동으로 회전시켰습니다. Vaseline이 사용되면서 회전이 어려워졌습니다. 오일 펌프에서 오일 필터로 가는 라인이 Vaseline으로 막혔을 우려가 있습니다. 오일 필터를 제거했을 때 오일이 흐르지 않는 것을 확인했습니다.
처리 내용
Vaseline은 오일 압력 시스템의 정상적인 압력을 견디기에 충분히 튼튼하지 않을 것으로 생각됩니다. 신규 오일 펌프의 문제이거나 설치 방법에 문제가 있을 수 있습니다. Vaseline이 라인을 막고 있다는 가설을 확인하는 한 가지 방법으로 디젤 연료를 사용할 수 있습니다. 일반적인 오일 교환 시 오일이 심하게 오염되거나 슬러지가 많을 때, 오일 팬에서 오일을 빼고 디젤 연료로 교체해 내부를 세척했습니다. 엔진을 단 몇 분만 운전한 후 디젤 연료를 빼내고 모터 오일로 교체했습니다. 디젤 연료는 Vaseline을 확실히 용해시킬 것입니다.
