Most drivers leave driver aids firmly switched on in their perception of improved safety. They are not enthusiasts and they are not discerning.Exactly, only those interested in driving turn them off, which is a very small minority of drivers in the UK.

How is the i3 overall from a purely driving perspective i.e. steering feel, damping, adjustability on road etc? I am used to quite engaging cars.Likely will be a standard car with the big battery.Steering feel - it's nicely weighted. The S is very darty. It turns in nicely. I had a little shimmy similar to my E46 out of a quick roundabout today. It is not a drift machine though, despite my trying to provoke it on a newly gritted road.Damping. The S is renowned for being a bit bouncy. It's fine on smooth roads but it takes bumps worst than my R53. Evolve do some dampers and loeering to fix this. I could be temptedAdjustability- it's easy enough to position, it has strong regen and good throttle response so you can treat it a little bit like (even though it's not actually like) left foot braking. They're light, skinny tyred and have no driver aids beyond abs and dsc so quite old fashioned feeling. That makes them feel a bit more fun. I think it was a "S" rather than a "M" for a reason though, it's like the old days when warm hatches were S etc. It's been the most fun of the EVs I've driven to date, Inc a M3P. It was going to replace the R53 but I think it will probably stay.Very interesting and thanks for the write up - seems like it is worth a try.If I can adjust the back axle under power that should be enough given the type of cars these are. The Puma isn't bad - the regen means you can easily get life off oversteer if required. I tend to left foot brake anyway but with the 1 pedal drive it makes the car quite willing to rotate but if course not under power which is the key thing I am missing.

All due respect to the current Puma, which is a decent car that drives well, but there is only one in my eyes.I had a Mk1 Puma 1.7 in Moondust Silver when I was 21 as my daily car. I loved how it drove and went everywhere in it, and the car was sort of part of the reason my partner & I got together. I ended up selling it to move on to something else, as we usually do at that fickle age, but I've always hankered after another.I've viewed many Puma's that have promised to be amazing, only to be let down by predictable corrosion (a notable one being a 9k mile example a few years ago that had a fi

A few years ago I saw Porsche 992 racers on 18", which looked ridiculous. So I asked why?Because they drive so much better on 18" sir.OK, I'll have a JAS Tensei NSX on 18" please...
