Conventional wisdom is that this will fail because nobody wants an electric sports car. And that may be true, but the fact is, until now nobody has really tried. There have been lots of very fast EV hatchbacks, saloons and SUVs, and a handful of monstrously expensive electric hyper-cars, but nothing I'd really call a sports car.The MG Cyberster? Two seats and no roof, but apparently very much more a relaxed roadster GT rather than a sports car.Original tesla roadster? That was 15 years ago, which may as well be a century in terms of EV development.Ioniq 5N? Hot version of a family crossover, not a full on sports car.So Porsche are getting there first, I guess we will find out if the market exists. Personally I don't suspect this will be in high demand, but at least someone is giving it a go.

Evo also seem to have their figures muddled up too - the average RR isn't £200k and in the latest magazine they say the Type 01 starts at under £100k and average £125k plus the weight is wrong.
