I have been a petrol head for some time, it all started when my uncle used to borrow his dads 400bhp 300zx z32 at the weekends and take us out. The power, the uniqueness of something so special got my adrenaline pumping.I was about 12 during them times and it wasn’t long after my uncle started going through cars like women through underwear. Skylines, Subarus, escort rs turbos, 300zx, Audi coupes, the list goes on. With all that and attending multiple Santa pod days, time attacks and drift competitions you could say I was hooked from a young age. My first proper car was a Saxo 1.1 spi, while a
Bit of an update. As you can imagine, being 6ft6 and 22stone trying to take out a differential on a car that’s about 20 inches off of the ground is quite a task. A task is an understatement, nigh on sole breaking is how I’d describe it, that said after a few hours wiggling about under the car I finally managed to get it out. With the diff out it was off to work to clean and weld up. Many people just weld the corners of the gears up and that would suffice, I wasn’t taking any chances of wanting to deal with the removal / fitting of the diff again so I cut out some 5mm plate to fully weld it. It certainly won’t be the weld that fail anyway. And there we have it. A fully welded diff, it’s spins freely and is nice and smooth. No one wheel peels for the foreseeable future. Was filled with fresh fluid and the cover back on with gasket seal. Will keep it short but getting it back in was 10x worse than getting it out. Even with a lift it’s a two man job but with me on my own wiggling on the floor it was almost impossible. A lot of swearing and cuts and bruises later it was back in and spinning both wheels by hand. Happy days. The diff situation actually took a couple of weeks due to time and commitments and in between I managed to snag a nice set of wrx seats I could modify to fit. Was hoping to keep the rails and modify them but that wasn’t going to happen. So on and off at work I have been making something up. Not there yet but coming together. This was a lot harder than I thought as the pitch and heights of the location holes are all different. But I’ll get there. Also ordered a couple of bits, one of which was a willwood 0.62 master cylinder for the hydraulic handbrake install. Will be making a chassis for that soon and plumbing it in as an inline set up. Brake line flaring kit has also been ordered. Also ordered a driftworks steering wheel. As with any aftermarket steering wheels you need to install a boss kit for your specific car, unfortunately I can’t seem to find one

Some other manufacturers like Volvo and Mercedes were well known for them tooHowever, this evening I randomly found the following image of a Talbot Solaro, and it got me thinking about what other cars are there where headlight wipers were availableA few others that spring to mind:Any other obscure ones?

Priced at £5000 less with some stonking finance deals, it should have done better.....but was it just too expensive to build? The big gap between the outgoing cars and the new one is a good idea and possibly intentional to create the biggest possible impact. I think this is going to do very well indeed. I'm looking forward to it, and seeing my first one on the road. If they couldn't build cars well enough to compete with Audi, BMW, and Mercedes or lo

I've got my Phaeton with the 6HP to do soon, a bit more involved as a job, but it's already had a box and a torque converter in the last 50k, so it hasn't been left forever without maintenance - I've heard the 6HP19s seem to like to give trouble! It's my first torque converter auto (in 70 cars of manuals, and 1 DSG!)If I'd kept my old E320cdi I'd have certainly ended up getting the gearbox serviced. I bought it with 104k on

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Still as subtle as a brick in your face. Not for me.

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
