Fun times..I have, and will continue, to enjoy driving everything I get a chance to drive, the only difference being the degree of enjoyment. LJKS one wrote a piece on the pointlessness of 'steering feel' and from memory he said many confuse steering feel with a cars ability to communicate where it is and what it is about to do. For him, absolute faith in the steering's accuracy and consistency was far more important than 'feel'. I suspect he'd welcome a world of ultra accurate fly by wire steering devoid of weight or 'feel'. Does anyone go for a drive for the hell of it? Yes. Me. All the time. I'll often deviate from my boring commute and have a back road meander, but the trick is to enjoy even your commute. Enjoy the process. My little mini is perhaps the most involving car I own, and I love driving it. I had a 350 mile trip yesterday and opted to take my decades old Audi, cruise set at 60, air con on, Radio 4 alternate with System of a Down blaring out of the stereo. It transported me, I had little to do but stay awake and as for steering feel?...and I loved every mile. If I did not enjoy driving...everything...and if I could not enjoy my commute...I'd go by public transpor
