This is a neat and restrained design of car to my eyes. Maybe that's why it doesn't necessarily look like an Audi, as that marque seems to be throwing the kitchen sink at most of its designs, losing all elegance and subtlety in so doing.I particularly like the interior, with its use of fabric to soften the dash. It's interesting inside, like the original BMW i3 was (which also used fabric extensively across the dash). With such a high beltline on the car though (therefore shallow windows), this is going to be very dark inside unless there are lighter colourways to choose from. The weight is disappointing, particularly given the engineering-led (and admittedly probably commercially foolhardy) approach taken for the original A2. However, that's where we seem to be these days. That fact does relegate the car to the also-rans for me. Still, I hope it does well.

Possibly a strange topic for some, but I’ve always had a fascination with headlamp washers, and in particular systems that involve wipers. I’ve had a couple, namely a Saab 900 and an E30 BMW. This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
