증상

2005년식 도요타 코롤라 베르소에서 스티어링 컬럼 근처에서 불규칙한 소음 발생. 키링 흔드는 정도의 소리. 차량이 정지 상태(엔진 시동 상태, 핸드브레이크 걸려있음)에서도 손을 떼면 소음이 자동으로 시작되거나 멈춤. 소음 위치는 운전자 무릎 근처의 스티어링 컬럼 부분으로 추정. 속도나 핸들 조작과는 무관.

처리 내용

스티어링 컬럼 아래쪽의 플라스틱 트림, 와이어 하네스, 조절 레버 등이 고정부나 다른 트림 부품과 마찰하거나 진동하는 것으로 추정. 간헐적인 이유는 엔진 진동의 특정 주파수에 반응하거나, 때로는 진동이 묶인 상태로 고착되기 때문. 본인의 경험상 스티어링 컬럼에 장착된 전동 미러 조절 손잡이가 원인이었으며, 손잡이 아래에 폼 테이프를 붙여 엔진 진동으로 인한 흔들림을 방지하는 것으로 해결. 귀사의 경우도 쉽게 찾을 수 있거나 트림 부품 아래에 숨어있을 수 있음. Chilton/Haynes 정비 매뉴얼이나 온라인 포럼을 참고하면 분해 가능한 패널과 제거 방법을 확인할 수 있음.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.

I think it is a shame to lose one of the distinctive features of the 944 (the wrap around rear screen).Proportions from rear three-quarters are also a bit too Scimitar for my taste but each to their own.
