You're making this a bigger issue than it is. Their algorithm says they can't insure it. Get some new quotes and move on.

Decided after 2 years at ~£300 premium that they didn't want to insure me and my elderly Volvo. :shrugs:The main pain in the arse was that they originally said I could get my no claims proof on the online portal, then seemingly changed that and wouldnt provide my proof of no claims until after the policy had finished, but my new insurers wanted it within 7 days when I bought the policy more than 7 days before the old one ended.Managed to work round it but there's always some kafkaesque/catch-22 ordeal with this stuff.
