증상
2007 Toyota Yaris에서 두 가지 소음 발생: 1) 시속 60-70km/h 이상에서 우측 프론트에서 끽끽거리는 음. 2) 핸들을 좌우로 완전히 꺾을 때 양쪽 프론트 휠에서 '고무 대 고무' 같은 삐걱거리는 음. 외관상 문제 없어 보임. [업데이트] 핸들 삐걱거림은 해결됨 - 쇽 댐퍼가 차체에 연결되는 큰 러버 부시(rubber hobs)에 그리스를 발라서 해결. 고속 주행 시 우측 프론트 끽끽거림은 여전히 미해결.
처리 내용
고속 주행 시 끽끽거리는 소음 진단: 1. 타이어가 순정 사이즈가 아닐 경우, 프레임과의 간섭으로 인한 러버 대 러버 음이 발생할 수 있음. 2. 진단 방법: - 우측 핸들을 끝까지 꺾은 상태에서 휠 웰을 확인하여 프레임에 검은 마크(타이어 자국)가 있는지 확인. 좌측도 동일 실시. - 우측 프론트 펜더에 양손을 올려 여러 번 눌렀다 놨을 때 바운싱하면서 소음이 나는지 확인 → 현가장치 소음 또는 스티어링 소음 판별 3. 원인 가능성: 현가장치 또는 스티어링 연결부의 모든 피벗 포인트 - 볼조인트, 타이로드, 스태빌라이저 링크, 컨트롤암 부시 등. 이는 주행 안전성과 직결되므로 방치하면 안 됨.

Winter 1993. On my way to the office, I'm slightly distracted by changing the music or something and I don't notice the rush hour traffic has come to a halt - I brake hard but manage to hit the Fiesta.
