증상
BMW Z3 3.0 구매 후 10일 이내에 Check Engine Light 점등. 유명한 대형 체인점에서 오일을 풀 합성유로 교환하고 코드 스캔 결과 캠샤프트 센서(camshaft sensor) 코드 발생. 다음날 수리 후 마력이 증가한 것처럼 느껴졌으나 CEL이 다시 점등됨.
처리 내용
과도한 오일이 산소 센서를 오염시켰을 가능성은 낮음. 건강한 O2 센서라면 며칠간의 운행으로는 오염되지 않음. 다만 오일이 과충전되면 배기계통으로 흘러 O2 센서에 도달할 수 있으며, 이는 장기간의 오염으로 이어짐. 육안 점검으로 청연기를 확인할 수 있음 - 배기가스에서 파란 연기가 보이면 오일 수준과 관계없이 더 큰 문제가 있는 것임. O2 센서의 나이를 확인해야 함. 센서는 시간이 지나면서 노후화되어 교체가 필요함. 과도한 오일이 노후 센서의 마지막 문제일 수 있음. 탐파 딜러에 연락하여 차량의 서비스 이력을 요청할 것. 서비스 이력이 없으면 교체 필요한 부품들을 판단하기 위해 추가 진단이 필요함.
