증상
68년식 머스탱 직렬 6기통 1 BBL 카뷰레터, 3단 수동변속기. 일정한 속도로 주행할 때 엔진이 힛칭(가속페달을 밟았다 뗐다 반복하는 것처럼)을 경험함. 가속 성능은 양호. RPM 게이지 없음. 시내도로 35mph 또는 고속도로 60mph에서 일정 속도 유지 시 지속적으로 발생. 연료펌프, 코일, 포인트 갭 간격, 진공 문제 의심.
처리 내용
포인트(점화 플러그)를 먼저 점검할 것. 증상상 점화계통 고장으로 스파크 플러그에 도달하는 점화강도가 부족한 것으로 보임. 다음으로 점화 플러그 와이어를 점검. 점화 스코프나 KV 미터가 있으면 진단이 용이함. 스파크 플러그를 분리해서 상태를 검사하면 추가 단서를 얻을 수 있음(플러그 상태 진단 참조).
