I suppose for every generation there are the Chavvy cars, which often come full circle and become classic. I mean when I first driving a Renault 5 GT Turbo was a £500 chav car, now find a good one cheap along with all the other hot hatches of the era. I actually think the Golf-R is a fine looking car (in the right colour combo) and a subtly spec'd A35/45 or 135/140 can all look really good. Sadly there is an image around them and it wouldn't put me off owning one but I'd be very very mindful of how it was treated by previous owners. Having seen enough bad driving on social media showing a 135

MikeM6 said: Oh joy, another thread to judgmentally bash a particular car and how it was paid for. There are two Golf Rs parked near me that are unmodified and I haven't seen either driven badly. I think they would be a great car to use on a daily basis as a good version of simple car. There is a young lad near me that has an A45 AMG. I have yet to hear him drive it hard, despite him having it for a while. My neighbour has a Tesla and an Audi, he does not drive them badly or aggressively. In my village, there is an Asta, Tiguan and Touran in the same household that are badly modified and make all the irritating noises. I see many cars of many types driven badly, regardless of how they are funded. Surely you'd agree that certain cars disproportionately attract certain types of owners? It doesn't mean that the car itself has anything wrong with it, nor does owning one automatically make you a chav. And I say that as somebody who has owned cars in this category myself.
