In general, I don't like four-seat convertibles, but the S Class really is well-resolved. My preference would be an S65 with a twin turbo 6.0l V12, but that doesn't fit the brief here. For a while I have had my eye on a small car to sit in-between family car and weekend car duties. Short list was an UP! GTI and a Panda Cross. Key consideration was it has to carry MTB (on the roof for ease), a dog (inside, not on the roof) and be able to sit on the Motorway every now and again. I find it a little sad that GMA has to resort to a reproduction of another car, albeit one conceived by GM himself. Sometime you just need to move on and strive to produce something better than what went before (in terms of looks). Yes it might be a failure, but keep trying. This car is what happens when you do exactly what your customers ask for, GM couldn’t obviously turn down the request!
